One problem with raising prices and requirements is that, yes, it reduces the number of owners but does so disproportionately in favor of the rich....which people who remember the Tulsa Race Massacre might be reluctant to accept. Again, we're talking individual weapons here. The common idea would be the firearms of citizen be equal with a common soldier or officer, meaning a rifle or pistol. It takes more experience and training to carry the automatic weapon or grenade launcher. I mention firearms because hand grenades aren't firearms.

The Australian buyback was mandatory. She could have just said a buy-back program which is common in Big Blue Cities (BBCs) but she went out of her way to telegraph "Australian" to the faithful. Beto just up and said they'd take the guns.

On a side note, please consider that Australia has less people than Texas and then tell me if you see a problem there. LOL
