Yeah, good idea. Let's make dining out with the kids even more expensive. Let's tax everything a little bit more. That'll help stimulate. That will help struggling people and help their children enjoy their poverty just a little bit more. Awesome job. I suppose the poor won't have to worry though, because there's no way they'll be able afford a soda anyway after they get done paying the fine for not being able to afford insurance, but are still making enough to not qualify for assitance.

Thanks guys! You rock

Lets encourage home food prep for family time together and even helping prepare the meal.
Most likely healthier food too.

A tax on sodas would barely get any revenue. It wouldn't have any signifigant economic impact.

do the math. the impact would be on low income jobs (food service... less customers leads to lower pay or loss of job), the cost to consumers (obvious)

You economic retards are the kings of unintended consequences. It's because you lack the ability to see the end results of your inane ideas

They are undesirable consequences. I know fully well that they are there, but we must balance them against other interests. The problem with conservatives is that they only do a cost analysis, and completely ignore the benefit part of the equation.

Wrong. You haven't shown any conclusive benefits. Just platitudes

and the problem with liberals is their feeling that only they know whats best for people.
