Actually it is more the velocity of the round than the bullet size.

A 22 long has a muzzle velocity of 1,070 ft/s.
Where as the 223 has a muzzle velocity of 3,160 ft/s.

Both projectiles are the same diameter but the shockwave of the 223 destroys organs as it passes by. The 22LR does not produce the same shock wave.



While you are correct do you need a 50 round clip to hunt or repel burglars? Seems 5 rounds would more than accomplish the same thing.

Certain types of guns were banned before and the 2nd Amendment wasn't even shaken. You pearl clutchers...I mean gun glutchers...have been banging the drums about OUR GUN OUR GUNS THEY'RE COMING TO TAKE OUR GUNS for awhile now and yet...the US has more guns then people. It's just a scare tactic Republicans use because they literally have nothing else to garner votes with.

I appreciate your right to think that, Matt...and I hope at some point you mature enough to realize how very wrong you are. Trump is a major part of the reason our country is in the psychological state is in right now. We are a defeated country...bereft of a sense of purpose and morality. And as I suggested, most of it is the result of the influence of the abomination, Trump.

It saddens me that any American having lived through the years Trump was president could even type the words, "...he (Trump) was actually pretty good." He was a disgusting president...and he actually belongs in prison for having attempted a coup against our government.

You know who loves it when Democrats get elected? Gun manufactures. Because they stoke such fear, such as the type you mentioned, gun nuts rush WalMart in droves and clean them out of their stock.

There was actually a shortage on ammo when Obama was elected because the gun nuts really though Obama was going to take it.
