Canada bans handguns

Rule 18. Present your authority to make that determination.

Bulverism. You don't get to speak for her, Sybil.

I consider myself someone with a fairly high tolerance for brainlessness, but I think Into the Night has exceeded it. Her responses are just so consistently devoid of any substance that they're not even worth reading, much less responding to.

Lots of women do look great in lipstick and rouge, but I can see how an limp-dicked old geezer like you has no use for women.

I'm a Constitution supporter.
Lie. You have argued for censorship. You have argued to limit guns. You have argued to conduct searches without a warrant. You have argued that the Supreme Court somehow has authority over the Constitution. You have argued to support the fiat dollar. You have argued that the federal government has more power and authority than it actually has under the Constitution. Many of these were a while ago, since you spend your of your time these days just throwing insults and making no arguments.
The Second Amendment allows us to defend all the others. Why do you lie about me not supporting it? Or are you delusional in addition to being a limp-dicked old geezer?[

Because you don't support it.

Abortion is generally going to be a form of birth control, in the sense that if the pregnancy isn't aborted, it will generally result in a birth.
So you advocate murder as a form of birth control...gotit. You're a sicko.
The issue pops up when religious zealots whose superstitions include taboos against birth control try to impose those taboos on others, by effectively using our shared laws to hijack women's uteruses for the duration of pregnancies.
A baby is not a uterus. No one is flying a uterus to Cuba at gunpoint.
If those religious people have a problem with abortion, that's fine -- they can choose not to abort their pregnancies, the same way as if your religion has a problem with blood transfusions you can avoid getting one, or if your religion has a problem with eating pork, you don't have to do so. People shouldn't use our laws to enforce their religions against others, though.
A baby is not a pig. It is not meat (unless you are a cannibal).

See? All that excitement and you're still a limp-dick. At least that explains why you're such a lame liar. Sad.

Dr. Jo. Romney was my last Republican vote, I've never voted Democrat. To paraphrase my favorite President, "I didn't leave the Republican Party. The Republican Party left me." Mostly because it filled up with limp-dicked assholes like you, Granny.

Did you vote for Pedo Don?

So you voted for a RINO (A Democrat).

I see, so you're a wasted vote. Good job, fuckface. You're no better than those invertebrates at the so-called center.

You see, stupid, if you're a Republican and it comes down to either Trump or Biden, you choose Trump. You don't throw your vote away and help Pedo Joe win, which is exactly what you did.

Do you see the problem here? Of course you don't, because the truth is, you're a secret admirer of the biggest fuckup in US Presidential history (Joe Biden). Congratulations, you've been outed. ;)

Joe Biden is not President. He was installed as Chief Puppet by the Democrats during their silent coup.

As the saying goes, "Necessity is the mother of invention". Thanks to Trump fucking up the US COVID response,
So you figure the vaccines that were created as a result of Trump getting government out of the way are useless. Gotit.
telemedicine and telecommuting to work has made great advances both in tech and acceptable social usage.
Nah. It's not any better. Just more people using them, usually badly.
Still, how much of that is covered by basic healthcare packages?
None.
Or do you assume everyone is as rich as you are? The "Let them eat cake" views on social problems.
What social problem?

See, this is where you and I differ: You hate people; I only hate wrong behaviors, and your behavior is all wrong.

Don't be an idiot and waste your vote; centrists do it all the time. ;)

Actually, I WANT him to waste his vote. He's a Democrat calling himself a Republican.

My health insurance package covers it, but I work for a big employer, so my situation is probably quite different from those stuck at crappy little employers who can't negotiate decent benefits for their employees. That's an argument in favor of expanding Obamacare, so these kinds of things are more accessible for anyone. Sadly, that runs afoul of the "let them eat shit" approach of libertarians and Republicans to social problems.

Obamacare is dying of it's own weight. Communism doesn't work.

Your projection is interesting, Granny. You're one lying about others, slinging names and spreading hate but you believe I'm the one who hates people. On what basis to you believe that to be true? Is it because I disagreed with you? Because I correctly identified you as a bitter, angry elderly and very lonely Euro-American facing the end of his life?

Inversion fallacy. You are describing yourself again.

Exactly my point. Telling starving people begging for bread to "just eat cake" isn't fixing anything.

Yes, the Republicans are against expanding healthcare but when faced with the frontal assault of banning guns they might be persuaded that some minor improvements for mental healthcare for K-12 is a preferable and popular option.

Once these programs are established for kids and the results seen by all, employers could be more easily convinced to use similar programs for their employees. The more popular a program, the more likely voters will push Congress to expand it.

A lot of psych screening can be done on computers. 30-60 minutes once or twice a year would be a good start.

Yes, and you're smart enough to know there's a reason that people shell out thousands of dollars to buy an AR-15, rather than just picking up the nearest stone for free: the choice of weapons matters a great deal when it comes to your ability to kill people.

I think the two December 14, 2012 attacks on elementary schools are great illustrations of the concept. Two deranged young men, each armed, showed up at an elementary school first thing in the morning with mass murder of little kids as their goal. One attack left 28 dead. The other left zero. The difference was that one happened in a place where it's easy to get your hands on guns (and guns with high rates of fire), while the other occurred in a place where it isn't, so he went with a knife and failed to inflict a single mortal wound before being subdued.

They are definitely a huge part of the problem. Again, our non-firearm homicide rate is about three times what's normal in other advanced nations, but our total homicide rate is about nine times as high as theirs, suggesting 2/3 of the problem is the guns, with the rest coming down to things like a diseased culture, poor healthcare, etc. Conservatives insist that we ignore the lion's share of the issue and focus on the other stuff, but I don't think that's sensible.
None of mine ever killed anyone. In fact, the only rifles I own that might have killed someone is a true "weapon of war"; WWI and WWII bolt-actions rifles. That's what you are saying you want to ban when you post about "weapons of war".

Yes, nutjobs with firearms are a bad mix. Why did Adam Lanza not get the help he needed before murdering his mother, a school full of kids and then shooting himself in the head? His mother was obviously a broken woman and overwhelmed herself. By shooting her, I think he believed he was ending her pain. The same for shooting himself. Why he murdered 26 people at Sandy Hook is a bigger mystery.

SHOOTING AT SANDY HOOK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
REPORT OF THE OFFICE OF THE CHILD ADVOCATE

AL’s deterioration ultimately led to his horrendous actions on December 14, 2012 when he carried
out a planned attack on Sandy Hook Elementary School, murdering twenty-six innocent adults and
children. Nothing can mitigate or fully explain those actions. This report cannot offer solace or
answers for the indescribable pain and trauma inflicted by AL.

This report raises, but cannot definitively answer, the question as to whether better access to effective
mental health and educational services would have prevented the tragic events at Sandy Hook. It is
important to emphasize that AL’s developmental condition and mental health cannot be seen as
determinative of his extreme violent behavior.

The records herein reviewed support the presence of early developmental challenges consistent with
a form of autism. There is also considerable evidence pointing to mental health issues beyond autism,
such as an anxiety disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and suicidal ideation. Children with this
type of constitutional vulnerability combined with complex family dynamics as well as dual diagnosis
present many treatment challenges. Going further, and most importantly, there is also evidence of
primitive anger and preoccupation with violence. This aspect presents the strongest connection to
AL’s actions. Authors cannot know the source of such preoccupation and there is no connection
in the literature between AL’s developmental profile and an increased likelihood of violent
actions.

A short visit to his manifesto in his signature will reveal all you need to know about Sybil. He's fun to interact with but don't expect much deep thinking.

So why are you blaming millions of people for what a two deranged men did?
Sorry dude, what you are suggesting is unconstitutional.
