Canada bans handguns

Is that why gun shops are packed by Canadians buying every pistol in the place? Right after this announcement?

Irrelevant.

Canadians don't have a gun fetish nor a history of a gun culture, they do use guns for hunting. Projecting your dystopian views on other counties isn't mentally healthy

Sybil, you're supposed to report it, not just post it in reply.

Disagreed, BTW. No violation. You're free to have as many socks as you like and I'm free to call you on it. God Bless America. Even psychos like you. :flagsal:

Who's free to have as many socks as he/she likes?

Once, I made a short-lived attempt to start a sock account. It wasn't supposed to fool anybody.
It was supposed to be humorous, but I fucked up with it right away and had it expunged, or at least asked for it to be.

Now this account, my regular one, is corrupted and I can't access certain fora on the site, and I can't start new threads on any forum.

I tried to open a new account, again with no deception involved, and I never received the email required to activate it.

I don't think administrators are activating any new accounts, socks or otherwise.

There is no projecting of any view. Canadians are packing gun stores right now buying up every pistol they can their hands on. Right after the announcement by King Trudeau.

That'll temporarily drive up the price of guns in the area on both sides of the border. Gun smuggling across the 48th Parallel will soon match drugs.

Man you gotta love the 2nd. Bill of Rights.
as far as I know this was Trudeau simply banning by executive decree - not even voted on

The current high-court goon squad would probably agree, but that can be changed. For well over 200 years after the Constitution was ratified, it was understood that states could regulate guns however they wanted. A few extra Supreme Court justices (or some well-timed deaths for some of the current goons) is all it would take to return us to that original intent.
states can still "regulate" gun laws are regulated on a state level, gun laws vary from one state to the next.
you are missing the 2nd. It is a canard that the 2nd contemplates gun ownership only in the context of militias. It clearly guarantees an individual right

Successfully maintaining a fleshed-out second account is very difficult except for a specially trained person or a multiple-personality nutjob like Sybil.

I've never tried on JPP. Just the one account keeps me busy enough.

Who ever established that that is "canard?" If they did, they better start rewriting the purpose of a prefatory and operative clause

The whole "arguement" is inane, no Constitutional right is, or ever has been, absolute, they all can be regulated, guns can be regulated

what? are you having problems with my syntax? looks good to me. enlighten me if you wish
while we are on clauses the right to bear arms is the independent clause in the 2nd
and the milita stuff is dependent clause = hence the individual right stands alone

Not independent, the prefatory clause announces the purpose of the operative clause, the exact problem that stymied Supreme Courts for two hundred years until Scalia using his bogus "originalism" bullshit decided he could skip over it.

When you were kid and your father said I will give you five dollars to clean out the garage did you think you automatically owned the five dollars regardless if you did the work or not?

Sorry, I'm not following the logic on how this relates to limiting the power of the Federal government? No, the money doesn't belong to the person until the agreement is fulfilled.

i see what you mean, but individual ownership has never been predicated on being part of a militia .
The independent clause stands by itself

Making “it harder to get your hands” on any kind of gun “will save a lot of lives,” Canada, as well as the vast majority of all developed nations, proves it

Well, Anchovies...no.

When a citizen is attacked in their home, what do you suggest they use to stop a killer? A slingshot?

Unconstitutional.

It does. It also applies to States as well as the federal government.
