Was it Cowardice by Police in the Texas school shooting?

'Cowards': Uvalde Cops Face America's Wrath Over Bungled Shooting Response

Sure as hell looks like it?!!

Police are facing heavy criticism and being labeled "cowards" for their response to the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, this week.

A total of 19 children, two adults and the alleged shooter Salvador Ramos were killed amid the shooting on Tuesday. Outrage has erupted online and on cable news after it was revealed that local police went inside the building minutes after the gunman entered unchallenged but quickly retreated and took cover. Ramos was killed by border patrol agents more than an hour later.

Texas Department of Public Safety (TDPS) Lieutenant Chris Olivarez told CNN that police did not engage with Ramos further due to concerns that they would have taken fire and officers "could have been shot." The word "cowards" trended on Twitter in reference to the police after news of the delay emerged.

"The Uvalde police were a bunch of gutless cowards who shamed their badges," British TV personality Piers Morgan on Friday. "Heads should roll, and some of them should be charged with criminal negligence. They let those kids die."

I could definitely see this being held against the cops either way. Think of another Texas tragedy: Waco. In that case, there was a fear that the children in the compound were being abused and that their lives could be at risk, so the authorities ended up forcing their way into the compound -- and the result was that all those kids died. It's not hard to picture a similar scenario in a school, where a gunman is holding kids, alive, behind closed doors, planning to use them as hostages to try to get away, and then authorities force the door and in the subsequent chaos, the kids are killed. That would be held against those making the call, just as people held the Waco deaths against those who ordered the compound to be stormed. So, it's sure not a position I'd want to be put in, to make that call.

No. The cops knew how to breach the door without killing the kids. The were trained to do it. The chose not to because they weren't going to take any bullets for those poor Hispanic kids. Mariealla's folks didn't contribute enough to Uvalde's tax base so poor Mariella had to live her last hour in terror, calling for the cops, her mommy, anyone, until that bullet tore through her brain, ending her young life.

The fucking soulless, cowardly cops could have acted an hour sooner and many more of those poor babies and teachers would have survived. I'm positive.

Those cops are evil cowards.

:laugh::laugh:
please show us where abortion is mentioned in the constitution :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

"Inherent in the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment is a fundamental “right to privacy” that protects a pregnant woman’s choice whether to have an abortion."
***
"The Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment protects against state action the right to privacy, and a woman’s right to choose to have an abortion falls within that right to privacy. A state law that broadly prohibits abortion without respect to the stage of pregnancy or other interests violates that right. Although the state has legitimate interests in protecting the health of pregnant women and the “potentiality of human life,” the relative weight of each of these interests varies over the course of pregnancy, and the law must account for this variability."

Roe v. Wade

In theory, so did those who raided the Waco compound. Didn't work out so well, though.

Apples and oranges. The police have specialized training now. The actually practiced it AT ROBB ELEMENTARY. They just ignored their training because they knew the kids parents had not political connections so the cops inaction wouldn't blow back on them.

Thats what happened my friend. The DPS chief admitted it. "It was the wrong decision not to go in".

I'd listed the the TX law enforcement guy who admitted his pussy cops blew off their job. Poor kids.

And yet it could still go badly the other way. It's just a matter of time until overly aggressive police storm a school and end up shooting the wrong person, or triggering someone with hostages to shoot them, and then the cops will be bashed for having been trigger happy. In retrospect, it was the wrong decision in this case. And in retrospect the opposite decision may be the wrong decision next time. Once you've got a gunman loose in a school, there are no easy decisions, and any of them could wind up being wrong in retrospect.

I’ll start out by saying NO THE POLICE SHOULD NOT HAVE WAITED TO GO IN. But hind sight is 20/20 . The police thought they had a barricaded person and that becomes a swat issue. it would be good to know if he had already killed everyone before law enforcement had arrived or not. But to sit behind a keyboard and claim they are coward is pretty unfair if you don’t know all the facts of what happened

I think you just missed the part where the DPS CHIEF TOLD THE WHOLE WORLD IT WAS THE WRONG DECISION NOT TO GO IN. The video is easy to find on YouTube my friend. The DPS chief I'm positive knows more than you.

Let me know if you need any help finding that video.

Did you see the news today where the 911 dispatcher was actually telling the pussy cops the kids were alive and calling from in there? Let that sink in my friend.

21 funerals. 19 of them little babies, their last horrible moments, lived in terror.

All eyes of the world will be on Texas this week my friend and for years to come. I'm not letting this one go. This "one" was unique. I can't be the only semi-sane person who feels this way my friend.

The question is - why don't you?

Roe v. Wade

and that has been overturned, now it is up to the states. no more murder for you

I wasn't there.
I don't know exactly what happened.

It's Texas, though, so I'm pretty sure that everybody involved fucked up in some way or another.

Your rage is totally justified. I can't hope for cancer, but I *can* hope that the good people of TX will elect the other guy and toss this POS out on his ear.

You're a better person than I, kid. I've come to realize over the years that dealing with people with Abbott and the trolls/flunkies, they see compassion as enabling their agenda.

Lurch my friend. The police thought he was a barricaded gun man. Of course it was the wrong call. I don’t think the call was made from political malice or cowardice . I think was poor trining and confusion . So if you can PROVE they stood down due to political malice or cowardice by all means produce that proof. I think we can all agree they made the wrong choice but it’s why they made that choice is what you need to prove.
