Scotland banned guns and kitanas (samauri swords) became the new leading cause of murders there.

So yeah, its true. If someone wants you dead, they'll find something to use.

Actually there were more murders by blunt object than all forms of rifles. Far and away (as in thousands) the most murders were committed by hand guns.

So why do so many people want to murder other people ?

Some are crazy, some are improperly medicated, some used to be institutionalized and got released, some are criminals acting like criminals, some are crimes of passion. Prolly some others as well.

Dont you think its a good idea to start addressing some of these causes ?

Of course. I've said many times since last week that there are many factors here.

But this post & the one about knives are a bit off. How many people can you kill with a knife or samurai sword? Don't say the same #.

adult v kids in an enclosed space ? quite a lot. children will panic making them easy prey.

I'm actually surprised at how few kids get shot in these situations given the capability of the weapons.

the killers are generally rather poor shots. rifles slow them down I believe.

No of course it's not true. Sure we would still have some violence but not 10-20 dead kids at a pop.

For those who are sure that the Revolution cant both destroy the police and remove guns from the population so that we cant defend ourselves either remember that California cant/wont deliver reliable electricity, and they outlawed the sale of gas generators.

My father's guns hung on my bedroom walls when I was a kid, all 46 of them. The ammo was in an unlocked dresser drawer. No one was ever shot. In fact, not one of those guns was ever pointed at anyone. Anyone know why?

Yes, but they can remove a lot of them, and they can ruin the lives of anyone who is even one time caught with having one without permission.
 
I have not verified but I have heard that there is a huge difference between the number of guns in America and the number of functional been used in recent years guns.
 
The government will absolutely threaten to take your kids away if you are found with a gun without the proper permissions.

AFAIK, only the bolt action rifles have been "weapons of war" and possible hurt others. The rest are 100% innocent.
