'Why are we willing to live with this carnage?"

I in fact love the invective

It’s funny stuff to me

Banning it is stupid

Every time I get to know someone

At some point they get comfortable enough to start using invective

Most people do it

Even politicians are beginning to use invective

Exactly, anyone, the kid pissed at his grandmother or the gangster wannabe can get a gun, easily, thanks for proving my point, and if those Chicago killings weren't noticed you wouldn't known about them to post about them

So if they weren't "noticed" they would have been alright? What the fuck is wrong with you?

The Founders disagreed with background checks? The did background checks back in the 18th Century?

Let me ask you a question there “smart guy,” if you are such a strict reader of the Constitution, taking what is says verbatim, why can’t bullets be controlled, if not banned outright, bullets aren’t mentioned anywhere in the Constitution?

the writings of the founders CLEARLY show that their experience with the kings standing army trying to confiscate their arms, which includes the shot and powder, were the main consideration in the 'shall not be infringed' statement. ALL of them, as well as we the people, agreed that the new central government would have zero power or authority over the arms of the people, which includes shot and powder, now bullets.

this is the part where you morons expose your idiocy. the constitution was written to LIMIT the power of government, not limit the rights of the people. now, why do you hate freedom?

I dont know why we are willing to live with the carnage. It happens EVERY single weekend in Chicago and every other major city in the USA, every other day of the week too,......and NOBODY SAYS A FUCKING THING.

Indeed!

ROFL just what do YOU think the founding fathers intended with the 2nd Amendment?

They intended to have a well regulated military- at the time we still had a volunteer army.

We have a well regulated military now, so we don't need you toy soldiers or your toys to protect us anymore - BUT THANKS!

Hello archives,

Biden is one hundred percent correct, why? Why is America stuck in the 19th Century when it comes to guns

"Here is a list of the 27 school shootings that have taken place this year"
https://thehill.com/changing-americ...ol-shootings-that-have-taken-place-this-year/

The Texas massacre of Fourth Graders yesterday marked the 213th mass shooting in the U.S. since the start of 2022. We had 27 school shootings and 213 mass shootings and it is not even June yet

The answer is obvious, cause a vocal minority in this country have swallowed all the masqueraded propaganda put out by the gun manufactures and we are burdened with gutless politicians whose only interest is in getting reelected

The problem is people keep voting for Republicans. It is foolish to keep doing the same thing and expect a different result.

the founders FEARED a standing army because of their experience with the kings army. all of their writings clearly indicate that the PEOPLE have their own arms.

There wasn't such a plethora of shit people in the 19th century in America.

what other rights would you like to have a background check run on before it's exercised? voting?

Can voting physically harm someone?

And there are some restrictions on voting. In some states, for example, felons can't vote. Very few of our rights are completely unfettered. Free speech doesn't mean you can slander someone.

Background checks are a reasonable regulation regarding firearms. As I said, it's incomprehensible to me why every American wouldn't support something as simple & reasonable as a background check.
