Perhaps all those JPP cheer-leaders for the continued Ukrainian resistance would like to go and fight the Russians themselves.

The destruction of Odessa would be a cultural catastrophe.

The catastrophe is the Russian military, sure look good in their parades, but three months in and they still haven't come close to dominating in what they envisioned would be a quick victory

India is a major purchaser of Russian arms, and so far has resisted pressure to condemn Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine or join a chorus of states in isolating Russia.

Biden and his Indian counterpart will meet on the sidelines of the summit by the Quad, an informal alliance between the US, India, Japan, and Australia.

Russia uses a soft power approach to avoid civilian casualties. Putin is more humane than his US counterparts. Kyiv still has internet, water, electric -- the first things the US does is make the people suffer for political gain.

I thought Russia held Donbas just like Crimea.

So...who is Putin bombing? Those loyal to Russia? Wtf?!

Pro-Russian , self-proclaimed Republics of Donetsk and Lugansk are part of the Donbas region. The Russians clearly intend to take all of it.
The anti-Russian Ukrainian Nazi militias have occupied other Donbas regions up 'til now- and shelled the Pro-Russian Ukrainians for the past eight years.

They're going to lay claim to piles of rubble?

True, but Putin should have focused his forces there. I think they missed Javelin -and misunderstood Biden adm hawks like Nuland and Sullivan's desire to use Ukraine to war against Russia

Austin and other have said it's now about "victory" and "degrading "Russian forces

And now we are going to staff our embassy with special forces.
Zelensky is going to want us in as much as he can and Biden is incapable of making a measured decision

Russia has failed, because they failed. This was not a "soft power approach". It is amazing how the alt right is rushing to support Putin over America.

They have not been able to gain air supremacy, or even superiority. That means they cannot bomb the electricity or internet connections. They were able to cut off electricity, hit electrical stations with missiles and artillery, and use special forces to knock out the internet switches. They believed this would knock out electricity and internet...

Biden was able to organize the connection of Ukraine to the EU grid. Everyone believed it would take between one to five years, with one year being impossible during a war. It was completely done in two weeks. The impossible was done. Putin has tried to knock it out again using hypersonic missiles, but the lines are small, his missile guidance systems are pathetic, and the missiles themselves are in extremely short supply.

The Ukrainian internet industry has shown themselves to be amazingly adaptable. They are willing to work on each others systems, and do whatever it takes to keep the internet, and the mobile phone system running. They have been lucky that there is now low orbit internet providers that can not be stopped by Russia. To show how well it works, compared to the antiquated Russian communication technology, the Russians have taken to stealing civilians' cell phones and computers to communicate.

They should have rebuilt. It's a damn shame they didn't.

They did rebuild. Republicans supported the insurance companies ripping off the people who were going to rebuild, but the money was found anyway. One World Trade Center was completed almost ten years ago.

Where? Not that stupid hole in the ground that's not a skyscraper office building.

Within the WTC campus there has been a 1776 foot high building for nearly a decade. It is full of offices, stores, and even has an observation deck on the top. It took a little over a decade to rebuild, because of barriers put in place by the Republicans, but it got done. The bathtub(the hole in the ground) has not been visible for a long time. I think they covered that within a few years.

Seriously, where have you been?
