Elon Musk slams Biden: 'The real president is whoever controls the teleprompter

Binary mentality -- good phrase for black-and-white thinking. It shows their utter lack of principles and integrity, how they can switch the love off and on like a lamp, depending on whether the entity in question toes the mark, or not. They are really struggling with how Putin should be perceived. Their master tells them that Putin is a "genius." Yet even the dullest of them can see that Russia is failing horribly in Ukraine, as their losses mount along with the atrocities they are committing. What's a Devoted Deplorable supposed to think? lol

I've noticed another impact of that mentality online. When one offers a pretty standard liberal talking point on a common issue (or at least one in the news lately), the right-wingers know just what to do with it. They've been prepped to know which camp such a talking point falls into, so they immediately react as required, by opposing it. In those cases, they've been handed the standard talking points to use in reply (or they at least know just where to find them, so they can regurgitate them dutifully), so you could practically write their response yourself, knowing exactly what motions they'll be going through. But if you try to talk about some issue that hasn't been in the news lately, or you come at an issue from an angle they haven't heard before, you often just get incoherent sputtering and tangential ad hominem. They're simply not sure which orthodox wingnut arguments they're meant to be spewing in response to such a point. They seem almost like medieval peasants who are worried they may inadvertently say something heretical if they aren't reciting the assigned catechism verbatim.

in general numbers, Bush doubled the national debt from $5T to $10T and Obama doubled it from $10T to $20T......even lib'ruls cannot pretend that is a decline.........

As a reminder the topic is the deficit. Do you know what the deficit was in Bush's last budget year? Obama's?

and yet you ignore the fact that Obama's deficits were equal to the combined total of these "soaring deficits" combined with the deficits of every other president since Washington............

You're confusing deficits and debt. Please let me know if you need an explanation of what each refers to.

dude, where did you think the national debt came from........good lord, are there ANY lib'ruls with the brains to talk about economics?......

Am I right to assume you have no education in science? If you did, I could point out that this is analogous to the relationship of distance and velocity. If you're in a vehicle that someone is driving the wrong way down a road at 50 mph, and then you take over control of that vehicle, you will, of course, continue to head the wrong way for a while. Even you slam those brakes on hard, it will take a while to decelerate to zero, much less to accelerate in the opposite direction and then get back to the position you were in when you took over. That's momentum.

Similarly, when Bush let office, the country's finances were speeding down the road in the wrong direction at a rate never before seen. Immediately upon Obama taking the wheel, we started to decelerate hard -- in fact, the deficit dropped more in his eight years than in any other eight-year period in history. But that still meant we kept going down that road in the wrong direction -- just slower and slower. That's what makes it so funny when the fans of guys like Trump and Bush, who accelerated us aggressively in the wrong direction, take issue with Obama not having been able to undo such a problem at an even faster pace than his record-breaking decrease of the deficit.

so in other words, you DON'T know that the national debt is the accumulations of deficit spending......and like most of the lib'ruls here, you're a fucking idiot........if that ever changes let us know......

Did you understand the analogy to distance and velocity? If not, I can find similar analogies to make the same point. The point is pretty simple, though. You can't stop something as big as the US economy on a dime. Much of our budget is committed years in advance (e.g., we place an order for a new aircraft carrier, that then takes six years to build, throughout which time we're contractually obligated to pay for the ongoing building costs). So, when you move from a "money is no object" president like Bush or Trump, leaving record deficits, you're going to keep having deficits for a while, even if the successor president starts reigning things in pretty aggressively. And that means debt keeps going up for a while, albeit slower. No president ever decreased deficits as much in eight years as Obama did, and that was enough to erase the majority of the deficit he'd been left, but even he couldn't get us all the way to a balanced budget in that time. And, unfortunately, despite the people voting for Clinton, we wound up with Trump next, and he ran us right back to record deficits, so that now Biden has to work to bring them down again.

Obama doubled the national debt.....stop denying the facts........

Which fact, specifically, do you think I denied? Simply point out the fact in question, SPECIFICALLY, and quote the exact statement I made that you see as denying it. When you spot your error, let me know.

none.....you've conceded that Obama doubled the national debt.......thanks for playing......

Nothing he said is wrong. The whole world KNOWS IT TOO,....some just choose to continue to lie about it and go down with the ship. AND THEY WILL go down,...no doubt about it. The next couple of years is going to be a political blood bath for the left. Their asses getting purged , ran from office on a rail!

:rofl2:
