Inside the Jan. 6 committee, key questions remain as hearings loom

Cheney’s unsparing and legal-minded approach toward Trump and the attack on the Capitol has distinguished her work on the panel. Colleagues say the lawyer by training is the most well-read and prepared lawmaker on the panel. Of the nine members, she has assumed the most aggressive posture toward the former president.

“Cheney has wanted to make sure we keep the focus on Trump and the political effort to overthrow Biden’s majority in the electoral college and to attack the peaceful transfer of power,” a committee member said.

Like I have said repeatedly, the committee has reached a verdict, and a conviction. All they need to do now is hold the trial...

We know that Jordan is lying, again:

As he was walking to his office this Tuesday, Ohio GOP Rep. Jim Jordan was confronted by Spectrum News' Taylor Popielarz, who asked him if he plans to comply with the subpoena that was issued to him by the House committee investigating the Capitol riot.

"They just served it yesterday," Jordan replied. "We just saw it for the first time yesterday."

Popielarz mentioned past statements where Jordan said he has "nothing to hide" in regards to his actions on Jan. 6, and asked, "Why not automatically comply?"

Why are republican members of Congress refusing legally issued subpoena's??

Because, they and most of the public know they're an invitation to a witch hunt, not to mention serve no legislative purpose. When committee members repeatedly say and make claims about those they're subpoenaing's guilt, it's clear the committee already has reached a conclusion and a verdict and now is just putting on a show trial to justify those.

Jan. 6 Committee Isn't Defending Democracy. It's a McCarthyite Witch Hunt

Republicans targeted by Jan. 6 committee warn of another 'witch hunt'

Only Democrats (and the Left--one in the same now) are still believing in the Jan 6 committee. Everybody else knows it to be the farce it is.

Its a legally constituted committee with the power to question witnesses. But remember what goes around comes around. You have bragged as to the myriad of subpoenas a republican controlled House will issue. Keep in mind that the Democrats will also decline to appear and your investigations will go nowhere.

Funny how the Law and Order types no longer care about the law.

That's just a form of cognitive dissonance called effort justification. It doesn't change that the Jan 6 committee is a farce as political theater because it's trying to make something out of nothing. If there were something there for them to find, they'd already have found it.

Its been found my dear, and you will hear it all once the public hearings begin a just a few weeks. No one gives a shot what your kind thinks of the committee.
