A wave of layoffs is sweeping the US.

China has almost certainly fucked up on COVID. I am still trying to figure out how much of a problem this will be in taking the Empire global...it might be major.

They have staked their legitimacy on zero Covid, which just is not possible. So they are destroying their economy, and rejecting vaccines from the west, all for something they will not accomplish.

They have been playing games with their accounting. They thought they could outgrow any accounting fraud, but recent real estate failures call that into question.

They were developing an amazing tech startup sector, and might have actually rivaled the US if they had continued to allow it to grow. But it grew in ways that were out of control of the government, so now they are destroying their tech startup sector.

They are clamping down on everything. Young, educated Chinese used to feel like they were involved with something growing, and getting more free. They no longer feel that way. Millions of them are trying to find a way out.

The only way they could be right with zero COVID now is if Geert is right that every time the jabbed see SARS-COV2 our immune systems gets a little more wrecked.

There has been an explosion in the use of the symbol 润 on the Chinese internet. At first it made no sense, because it means moist; why would the young educated Chinese suddenly start saying they wanted to be moist?

润 is pronounced "run", and that is the meaning they are using for it. The government has practically stopped issuing passports and exit visas, with a 98% reduction since before Covid. The USA has closed its borders more than before Covid. But there is a strong desire among millions of young educated Chinese to run to the west. Sooner or later, they will break and run.

Layoffs are sweeping across American businesses in the first few months of 2022.

Recent startups like Peloton have already laid off thousands of employees this year. Even traditionally layoff-resistant companies like Netflix are making cuts. Now, online car dealer Carvana plans to slash 12% of its workforce.

The reason, broadly, is twofold: Business growth is slowing, while labor costs are increasing. The combination is causing American companies across a variety of industries to slash headcount.

Nonsense! Nobody where I live have enough workers, even with wages way up!

Say what you want my dear, but you know I am right. The only problem is that a person like you, who lies for a living, may have some issues dealing with the truth. Possibly you have lied so much that you cant differentiate fact from fiction.

you've got the penis in your ear in backwards.......

Carvana is laying off about 2500 people. In this economy, that's a fart in the wind, and hardly worth the time it took the OP to present it.

Yes. At least since Biden took office, we've had between 263,000 and 714,000 new jobs added each month, net. At any point, you're going to have some companies doing mass layoffs, but those have been included in the jobs numbers and have been MASSIVELY overwhelmed, each month, by the hundreds of thousands of new jobs.
