“The conservative United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit handed down a brief, unexplained order Wednesday evening that will throw the entire social media industry into turmoil if the Texas law at issue in this case is allowed to remain in effect.”

“The Texas law prohibits a social media platform that functionally has more than 50 million active users in the United States in a calendar month” from banning a user — or even from regulating or restricting a user’s content or altering the algorithms that surface content to other users — because of that user’s viewpoint.”

“The law applies broadly, moreover, to all forms of viewpoint discrimination, regardless of whether that viewpoint is political.”

“The law permits any user who believes that a social media platform has violated the Texas law, as well as the state’s attorney general, to sue that platform in order to force compliance. A victorious plaintiff is entitled to an injunction requiring the platform to comply with the state law, as well as attorney’s fees.”

Texas

Unfortunately, only the Supreme Court can reverse the absurdity

The state of Texas does not own the internet, Facebook, Twitter, or Youtube.

SO therefore they cannot set the rules or override the rules of use established by privately owned enterprises.

This would have been an easy throw-out by the 5th Circuit of appeals- had it not been corrupted by DONALD TRUMP APPOINTED JUDGES!

So this will be sent to the Supreme Court and we will see just how corrupted they are by TRUMP APPOINTED JUDGES!

Good grief how embarrassing these justices are so stupid.

Ah, already said that, pay attention

YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook may be media sites, but they are also a business. They also now have rules of use established because of and during the TRUMP era of INSANITY and ABSURDITY!

A business can legally ban a customer not only based on its discretion, but also for health, safety, or other similar reasons, such as the customer being unruly, disrupting the business or its operations, causing injury, stress, or upset to employees, contractors, or other customers.

AND THE STATE OF TEXAS MAY NOT INTERVENE JUST BECAUSE THE UNRULY ONE IS A TRUMPTARD LIKE THE GOVERNOR AND IT'S STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL IS!

I MEAN- HOW TRUMPTARDED CAN TEXAS LEADERS BE NOW?

They are businesses, privately owned businesses, and last I knew, the Government couldn't regulate private owned entities, certainly couldn't deprive them of their First Amendment rights

But as I said, it is Texas, and regardless of the Trumptard the State's leaders are, it is the law unless the SCOTUS over rides it, and I wouldn't hold my breath on that one

As long as they don't try to edit people which they quite clearly did. Its time that they be reigned in.

If I owned this site, and I had a rule that said, "No Profanity will be tolerated", or "No racist comments will be tolerated", the state of Texas cannot make me have to tolerate such rule
violations I establish for my business!

Here at JPP, Damo has every right to impose rules on us any way he chooses to do so- THE STATE OF TEXAS CAN'T ALLOW THEM TO BE DISREGARDED!

What do you think America is TRUMPTARDLAND? RUSSIA?

GUESS AGAIN DUDE!
