A wave of layoffs is sweeping the US.

Layoffs are sweeping across American businesses in the first few months of 2022.

Recent startups like Peloton have already laid off thousands of employees this year. Even traditionally layoff-resistant companies like Netflix are making cuts. Now, online car dealer Carvana plans to slash 12% of its workforce.

The reason, broadly, is twofold: Business growth is slowing, while labor costs are increasing. The combination is causing American companies across a variety of industries to slash headcount.

They had large expansions during COVID because people were staying home. They should have known it wouldn’t last.

And yet. Still record job growth. Keep trying to find an angle to hurt the Dems. You're going to fail and we're going to increase our numbers in the house and Senate in a few months.

Don't you and your mentally challenged Republican Taliban buddies get tired of being so wrong and such Nazi douches all the time?

Why is this Biden's fault? People just aren't going out to eat, shithead. Fuck you are stupid.

What ? People don't get hungry anymore? Or maybe since Biden inflation people just can't afford to eat out anymore. If things keep going with inflation they just won't be able to eat at all.

Dude. I love to cook. I'm really good at it. Since Covid hit, I just got used to cooking on my own. I'm guessing many others did as well. I get it - you want to vilify Biden every time you have the shits or stub your toe. You're just going to have to face facts - times change - not that many folks eat out any longer - do you?

So since the Dems think COVID is Trump's fault the people cooking for themselves is Trump's fault!

Why is Musk doing that? Oh.. he doesn't need moderation any longer - he laid off all the mods so that he can turn Twitter into a right-wing weapon.

His war on bots is gonna be hard to win - he needs smart tech workers - which rules out pretty much all of the woke bleeding heart types.

The days of pushing gobs of money at start-ups is over, it is not the real economy that is getting clobbered, not yet.

Buckle Up.
