Please let me know what the mods say, if anything. I’m truly curious.

The Johnny Depp incels are outraged at Amber.
My daughter is outraged at Amber. This sets back the ability of women to be believed when reporting crimes like this.

What crime did Amber report? TBH, I’m not a fan or a follower of Celebrity Justice, but my understanding is that Amber wrote an article about her abuse and that Depp is suing for defamation.
Not a fucking lawyer, but defamation is difficult to prove. If Depp was a saint who never laid a hand upon her, then I can see him possibly winning his defamation suit.
The problem for Depp is that he isn’t a saint. He may not be the abusive asshole Heard paints him to be, but the fact he abused her publicly and on video is enough to tip the scale in favor of Heard.
It’s one thing to fabricate abuse allegations but it’s another to exaggerate….even with whining and “fake crying”. My money is on Depp losing his defamation accusation lawsuit.
One of the few things I know about the law: “Penetration, no matter how slight, constitutes the act.”
I think there's almost nobody who argued we should "believe all women." That's a straw man thing.... a position the right pretends the left took, so that they can point out problems with it or supposed hypocrisy when the left doesn't abide by it.
Seriously, try this as a reality check. Do a news archive search for the phrase. Who, exactly said it, and when? The phrase pops up all the time in news coverage, these days, but always in the context of someone attacking the idea, never in the context of someone actually offering that as a prescription. Most of the earliest cases of the phrase being used are people quoting Norm McDonald critiquing the idea. So, basically, a stand-up comedian said he disagreed with the idea you should believe all women, and then people took that as evidence there were figures saying we should believe all women. Why? And now it's basically "the view from nowhere" -- a stance nobody is actually taking but that thousands waste time arguing against.
We've always known there are women who lie to play the victim. A big part of the "karen" meme revolved around various women lying to play the victim, like the white woman who broke a leash law in NYC and then lied about the Black guy who complained, in order to try to get the police to punish him. It's logically impossible to believe all women, since there are women who have said mutually contradictory things. Like Juanita Broaddrick told reporters Clinton raped her, but also swore under oath that never happened. You literally cannot believe she's telling the truth in both instances. Obviously, women are humans and humans sometimes lie. We all know that.

If one woman was able to destroy it, it wasn’t much of a path.Whether she reported it as a crime or not she claimed that Depp was abusive, Depp lost a job due to folks believing her. And they continued to believe her right up until we got to the trial where suddenly her own story works against her. Now folks do not believe Amber. This makes folks less likely to believe women who "claim" (report) such crimes and therefore puts women into more danger. Women need to have a path to safety, Amber has destroyed part of that path.

Could you provide specific links -- let's say to a particular post on Justplainpolitics where someone has argued we should "believe all women"?
