Seems one of the big reasons so much Russian military equipment has been lost and abandoned in Ukraine is the Russians were buying and using Chinese made parts and tires in their military vehicles. These parts have proven so shoddy that the vehicles broke down or suffered flat tires within just a few hours of use.

Pay attention to the "May Be".....we are lied to constantly and in anycase American Intel has a long record of turning in shit quality work.

Try putting Chinese sockets to a 1970 Ford anything sometime.

The Ford whatever will win. The Chinese sockets will fail.

This is why I only want American/German sockets ever.

China steel sucks ass. German-produced Mauser from the Spanish-American war > SKSs.

You blame China for the corrupt Russians who equipped their troops with shoddy equipment, gave them shoddy training and with shoddy leadership?

Are you on the take from Russia like Dookie? Is it in your contract that you can’t ever diss the fucking Russians, only the Chinese? Or is it a racial thing because you think anyone who is non-white is subhuman?

That Chinese stuff is generally crap. Their machine tools and tooling are for shit. Can't hold a tolerance, wear out quickly, and are generally just junk. Their bearings in particular are total shit. You need to get the good stuff from the US or Germany, like SKF or FAG, when it comes to those.

No, I'm saying it's one reason Russia is failing, not the only one. If you go back to the 30's and see the performance of their army then, it's the same thing you're seeing today. I remember reading that the Czechs back during the Cold War would get Russian made military equipment as part of the Warsaw Pact. The first thing the Czechs did was totally disassemble the gear, then re-machine and rework every part, replace the bearings with West German ones they could import, and then put the equipment back together so it worked more than a few hours without breaking down.

You are a broken record in this subject.

I have no visibility on this, but I do note reports that the problem is not so much Chinese product, but rather that corruption in Russia caused their equipment to not have been properly maintained. There are also reports that the Russians have used inferior designs.

I have a few S/K sockets. I used to go to the pawn shops when that stuff could be bought for like 10 cents or a quarter per socket every Saturday morning.

Snap-On, Craftsman, S/K, you get the idea. I missed one though, what is it?

Maybe, but over the last five or so years the assessment from America experts has generally been that Chinese military gear quality is rapidly improving. They have been hard on the alarms.

The bottom line is that if Uncle Sam equipped our troops with substandard equipment, regardless of source, it would be stupid to blame the source instead of those who did the purchasing.

The reason the Russian Army is imploding isn’t because of the fucking Chinese; it’s because of the fucking Russian leadership.

There was a time when "made in Japan" was a sign of likely low quality.

Till one day it was not, eventually it was assumed to be better than American made.

Does anyone doubt that, like US manufacturers, that there are different grades of quality….all based on price?

Anyone who has shopped at Lowes or Home Depot knows there’s usually cheap, better and pricey. If someone buys the grade and it fails after a year, should they blame the store or should they blame the level of quality?

Does anyone here think the Chinese arm their own troops with the lowest quality like the Russians or do they step it up a grade or two?
 
The Chinese have built so much stuff,,,,,,,they build massive quantities of a lot of stuff.....eventually they will do it very well. They will also be doing most of the innovating, because an America which allowed its manufacturing base to be taken does not get to practice or learn new things.

The Japs build good machine tools, especially CNCs. As long as the tool doesn't break down, they hold tenths all day long.
