It was trump that released 5,000 Taliban fighters, and gave them a green light to take over the country. That is thinking the Taliban changed. Meanwhile moderates and liberals just hoped they had changed.

Afghanistan has changed, and so we hope the Taliban will change. They are hoping to change Afghanistan back to where it was 25 years ago, but we are hoping they cannot. That being said, once trump released those 5,000 Taliban fighters we lost any control over the situation, and are left with only hoping.
