Russia’s Admiral Makarov warship has been hit by Ukrainian missiles and burst into flames, according to Ukrainian officials.

The frigate would be Russia’s latest high-profile naval loss in a troubled campaign, coming after reports that US intelligence helped Ukraine locate and sink the Russian warship Moskva weeks ago

The ship is reportedly a frigate-sized vessel, possibly the Admiral Makarov, one of Russia’s newest and most advanced frigates. The 4,000-ton vessel is one of the largest warships in Russia’s Black Sea Fleet, which is a key part of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Im amazed Putin hasn't resorted to battlefield nukes to combat our war on Russia
I think China is the only restraint,and that cant last forever.

Pre-Trump you would never have seen so much (if any) sympathy for Russia. Trump told them they were hating the wrong side, and they "reformed", like good little ones do.

Pre-Trump most Republicans complained Obama was being too weak on Putin. Then Trump ordered them to get on their knees and start blowing Vlad.

Trump knew Putin would not attack us if he saw us a strong. Trump wanted a working relationship with Russia where Russia wasn't threatening to nuke us. We now have Russia threatening us with nukes because Putin saw Biden as weak. Putin saw Biden as weak and he decided to take a chance and invade Ukraine. Ukraine surprised him by standing up and fighting for freedom. They used those 210 Javelin missiles Trump got them to slow Putin's advance. Ukrainians fight for freedom shamed Biden to change his position from "we will give you a ride out of Ukraine" to: "we will send weapons."

So goes the Trump view of it. There never was a serious chance "Putin would attack us". There was a chance, however, that we might shrink from posing a serious deterrent to Putin's ambitions and he courted Trump toward that end, hoping for a second Trump term and tried to make it happen.

The best way for all of these problems to be resolved is for the Russians themselves to depose Putin and free themselves.

Radiation tends to drift, and kill people thousands of miles away, in other countries. A nuclear explosion in Ukraine would cause trouble throughout Europe and Asia. It would create enemies for Russia everywhere.

The Russian military knows this, and even if Putin is willing to go out in a "blaze of glory", they are not.
