Federal government decides whether you can get abortion pills in the mail

The Constitution makes clear that federal government controls interstate (and international) commerce, and the mail. No one denies that. So the federal government decides whether abortion pills can be ordered online, and whether they are delivered to your doorstep. Abortion pills have had some major technological breakthroughs, and so this is a bigger issue than it would have been 10 years ago. With more drug approvals coming, it will get even bigger.

Usually the federal government makes interstate commerce that would be illegal within the state illegal to do through the mail. For instance, when some states continued prohibition, the federal government limited cross border alcohol shipments. The federal government is under not required to do so.

So from my understanding, you might be able to order the abortion pills through the mail, but the second they get into your possession, you become a criminal.

Which opens up another issue. Anti-abortionists used to claim they would only punish the doctors, and not the pregnant women. If there is no doctor, and just a pregnant woman taking a pill, she is the one that ends up being punished by the laws.

interesting situation..........states do have autonomy to criminalize possession of items that the feds allow people to possess...............this could seriously impact alot of state prohibition laws

any company that does business in your state must abide by the rules of your state

so if you are doing ecommerce - and ship products to a state - you must abide by the state and can't ship illegal products.

one example is mushrooms - some states allow you to posses mushroom spores from illegal mushrooms - you know - for scientific observation under a microscope LOL - others do not

if your state allows it - you can have those mailed to you

If everything's great, why are you always so unhappy? I've never seen you post anything positive or upbeat... Nothing's going backwards...America's getting great again...and forward progress will not be stopped...;)

You might want to read the words of the left on here. They beat the right with death threats at least 3 to 1. Not that I would expect you to take off your blinders to see that fact.

Totally true. Especially during the worst of Corona. They laughed giggled and openly CHEERED every time one of the un jabbed died. Thats a stain that will follow them around forever.

It should, but most on the left have absolutely no shame..........All of their 'beliefs', mostly dead wrong, are ingrained in them through the brainwashing that their handlers subject them to......the worst part about them is that when shown how their policies are actual failures, they double down on them. They are fanatical that way

At least 24 women have died from adverse reactions to Plan B. 30% of all women that take Plan B make an ER visit within 30 days of taking Plan B. Some women that take Plan B have excessive bleeding for over 30 days.

Plan B is not without risk. Plan B should only be taken under the guidance of a health care professional. (i.e. Nurse Practitioner, Pharmacist, Doctor.) Mail order Plan B is not appropriate.

It seems that women get care by medical doctors, if and when they have problems. The doctors give you the medication, you go home, take the pills and they tell you if anything adverse happens to go to the ER, they don’t keep you under observation, so I don’ t see how mail order Plan B is any different.
