Mariupol, as it was

So this is your slow walk, back track from your flaccid apples to apples comparison of Marupiel to Nagasaki.

I supported the United States use of military force against a domestic insurrection from 1861-65, as much as I acknowledge Ukraine's right to use force to put down a domestic insurrection.

You're just cherry-picking slaughters. Begone, hypocrite.

Ukraine, just like the United States, has a right to use military force to subdue insurrections and rebellions.

Putin has no right - none, nada, zilch - to invade Ukraine, let alone commit the worst war crimes seen in Europe since WW2 on Ukranian citizens.

They do not run the government, and our country has it's own share
neo-Nazi group has expanded to become part of Ukraine’s armed forces, a street militia and a political party.
Putin referenced the presence of such units within the Ukrainian military as one of the reasons for launching his so-called “special military operation … to de-militarise and de-Nazify Ukraine”.

A few months after recapturing the strategic port city of Mariupol from the Russian-backed separatists, the unit was officially integrated into the National Guard of Ukraine on November 12, 2014, and exacted high praise from then-President Petro Poroshenko.

“These are our best warriors,” he said at an awards ceremony in 2014. “Our best volunteers.”

Horseshit, you weasel-mouthed ass. The ' rebellion ' in Ukraine was a bunch of folks trying to save their Ukrainian democracy AFTER A US-LED COUP . They're the GOOD guys , wanker, in terms of Ukrainian democracy. You- and your dumbass ilk- are back-slapping the COUP. Begone, hypocrite.

Hello Cypress,

For sure, it has really nothing to do with NATO, or gangs of rightwing Neo-nazi boys.

The fact is, Russian nationalists have considered Ukraine to be an integral part of Holy Russia for 300 years at least. And like a jilted boyfriend, they just couldn't bear the thought of Kyiv rejecting the authority of Moscow and joining the family of western liberal democracies.

Dumb.

Ukraine was there first. Before Russia.

Hello Cypress,

Dumb.

Ukraine was there first. Before Russia.

It's true East Slavic civilization began at Kyiv, not Moscow

On the other hand, when the Kievan Rus confederation flourished, the languages and ethnicities of Ukranian and Russian did not yet exist.

But the bottom line is that at least for the last four centuries, there has been a distinctive Ukrainian language and self-identity and they are entitled to self determination and sovereignty.
