We know they were getting political advise on how to soften it. A conservative clerk (a true believer) would not want it softened.

Wrong. The draft copies would have been distributed to all justices for review. Those dissenting would want copies to help craft their rebuttals. Thus, the more Progressive judges with Leftist clerks would have had copies too. Those Leftist clerks had far more political and personal motive to leak a copy than any conservative clerk would. They'd see it as damaging to the Conservative cause and Republicans in an upcoming election where, by every indication, the Left loses badly. They had more to gain in theory than a conservative clerk did leaking it.

Absolutely. Every supposed 'pro life' advocate views every aborted fetus as a toddler, and every 'pro choice' advocate views every aborted embryo as a grain of rice.

There is a chasm between the two, and our lawmakers prefer it that way.

If that was the case, why wasn't it leaked in February, when it was first circulated?

Or why didn't they sit on it longer in order to be closer to the election?

Why leak it at the beginning of May, when it doesn't really do anyone any good?

This was clearly the work of Ginni Thomas.

Of course it was Ginni Thomas, she has already done something like this with her attempt to overthrow the 2020 election.

She is a political operative, so she leaked it now in order to soften the blow when the decision is formally released.

She's making a bet that by the time the decision is issued, people will have moved on to something else.

She's the leaker.

It doesn't make sense for anyone else to leak it.

Soften the blow of when the decision is formally released because leaking it now gets it in the 24 hour news cycle and by the time the formal decision is released, the gamble Thomas is making is that people will have moved on to something else by then.

It doesn't make sense for anyone else OTHER THAN GINNI THOMAS to release it. Leaking it was a political act, and we already know Ginni Thomas uses the Supreme Court as a political tool thanks to her meddling in the 2020 election.

Makes no sense that it would be any of the liberal justices or their clerks, or any of the Nazi justices or theirs.

But Ginni Thomas has access and motive.

She wanted to get it out now, so that by the time the decision is formally released, outrage fatigue will have set in...at least, that's the gamble she is making.

I suggested her this morning. She's pretty much the only person in a small group of possibilities that includes clerks. The latter would be easily traced, so I'm sticking with Thomas.
