And no - the 5-4 court we had was NOT that political.

This is a new animal for America. This is a hardcore right-wing activist court, where the left & middle have very little representation. And they were appointed to change America, with a vision that is shared by a minority of the electorate. McConnell laid the foundation by playing politics with Garland, and Trump finished the plan.

Roe is just the start. Take note, voters: elections have consequences.

In 1994, when Republicans won control of the Congress, Thomas was at their big victory party, saying how happy he was that his party had won. Before that, Supreme Court Justices at least pretended to be nonpartisan. Ginni Thomas has gone on to both lobby her husband, and lobby other Republicans for her husband. This is a level of partisanship we have never before seen.

And now Thomas voted to keep cell phone records sealed in the 01/06 riot case, saying he did not need to recuse himself because his wife was not there. When the other judges voted against him, we quickly found out his wife was lying, and was really there.
