The Jan. 6 hearings should follow 5 basic rules

The committee has three audiences: rational Americans, the Justice Department and history. Each must receive a compelling account demonstrating Trump and his minions committed grave offenses, coming within a whisker of stealing the election.

The case should be so convincing that it builds public support for reforms and deprives foot-draggers and skeptics in the Justice Department of any legitimate rationale for avoiding prosecution. It’s time to once and for all debunk the “big lie” and to hold all those involved in the coup attempt accountable.

Did he attempt to coordinate a nonviolent coup by pressuring the Justice Department and states into fabricating an air of fraudulence and then cajoling the vice president to throw out electoral votes for President Biden? Did Trump also unleash the crowd on Jan. 6 with the intent to rampage violently and disrupt electoral vote certification? We need to hear evidence that he knew he lost the election but wanted to prevent Biden from taking office regardless. Whether the committee makes a formal criminal referral to the Justice Department, it should set forth multiple legal theories that could provide a basis for indictment.

The Pelosi Select Kangaroo Court is a laughable farce in overt violation of House rules and WaPo is an asswipe.

No. Thats why many of us actually WANT the hearings. That way we can make an even bigger ass of you guys than you already are and further hurt you politically.
 
We need a real committee and special prosecutor to find out why Pelosi kept the National Guard out of DC after repeated requests by Trump and why the Capitol Police beat one unconscious woman to death and shot another to unarmed woman to death in cold blood, and why we have video of the Capitol Police firing tear gas and flash bangs into the peaceful protesters before anyone even set foot on the staircase or the rotunda.

The Dept. of Defense controls the National Guard for DC. Now who would be the Commander in Chief of all armies....?!
 
Jan 6 Trump committed treason,insurrection, man slaughter ,invading the Capital, and attempting to over throw an election!
Should have been arrested Day one of Biden's term
