If you hire children, you are taking responsibility for them. I really do not know how this can be a controversial statement. I know it is all the vogue these days to add stuff to statements to change their meaning. So I will point out that neither I nor Biden have said that these children are not the parents' responsibility anymore. And no one is saying anyone owns the children.
But employers have a greater duty of care when hiring children. Taking a 14 year old child and having her work in a men's locker room as a "towel girl" for tips is not OK. trump's employment of underage "towel girls" is not OK. He continues to use them, so it continues to be a current issue.
his "plausible deniability" that he did not know that they were being sexually abused is a partial, but incomplete defense. he failed in his duty to protect these children.
When a Democrat becomes Attorney General of Florida, the first thing he will do is subpoena trump's "towel girl" records, and see how many of them got out of court settlements. I would bet it is quite a few.
