I find it interesting that folks that ignore 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 suddenly want you to pay attention to this verse.

Let's put it more into context and give the whole paragraph:

26 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

These people who want you to take the one sentence literally probably don't believe that you are all suddenly wearing a corpse, or a living being if they are believers, instead of clothes for instance. Then they want you to simply ignore a verse that tells you directly that folks who participate in homosexual activities will not "inherit the kingdom of god"...

Now I don't believe in this religion, but I do know that they use symbolism often when talking about things like how your faith has saved you, and that you shouldn't tell one group not to "pick and choose" then do the same else you will have revealed your hypocrisy.

look at it as an exercise in manners of wording something. Part of the fun in English is that since we stole so much of the language from others we have this delicious variety of choices.

I will try to use more straightforward language when I think you are the audience.
