Joe's missing millions! Financial records reveal Biden had $5.2million in unexplained

In an interview aired Monday by CNN, the vice president said that he told Obama that he and his wife Jill planned to sell their home in Delaware to support Beau Biden’s family if his son became unable to work

You mean Beau's widow that Hunter was banging at the time?

When I smoked did I choose to smoke? Yes. When I quit I chose not to smoke. While choosing to quit was a smart choice, it is not something to admire. I admire the folks that saw those around them smoking then still made the smart choice rather then emulate the example provided.

I simply spoke of the decisions they make and why I would not call them "smart" or "intelligent" decisions and why they are nothing to admire. I spoke from the view of someone who has lived with an addict, not by choice, but because they were a parent. Pretending that talking about decisions they make and how it affects others is somehow "dissing" someone is just flat absurd.

The reality is your assumptions of me and your complete misunderstanding that words actually mean things and that I am careful to mean what I say are stupid. You basically tell someone not to make assumptions about someone, then without information you make assumptions that are based in nothing other than your own specific "feels" and your own wish to pretend that I meant something I didn't say.

I find you disingenuous and clearly not much worthy of conversation. If you cannot do some introspection when it is pointed out to you directly and move on then you will find I have little trouble moving on from paying any attention to what you may have to say and even less trouble valuing your participation in a conversation. Either speak to the subject and talk about why I should "admire" addicts while I speak to the subject and tell you why I do not admire them and leave the personal crap out or expect me to continue to call your assumptions stupid when you make stupid assumptions.

<(note also, it is your assumption I find stupid, I do not know yet if you personally are actually stupid or you just really want me to be the strawman you are trying to argue with)>
your decision to quit is
admirable. Im not claiming it's a great character attribute, but when people claw themselves out from bad situations - even self induced-it's worth applause.

While addiction is a medical condition , it's also behavioral - and fighting that behavior is an admirable trait
Humans are frail an subject to vices and diseases. either can happen to anyone

As the great sages Doobie Brothers  once penned "what were once habits are now vices"
You chose to quit, but there was no guarantee you would have - all addictions have a great potential of relapse

For me it was going to NA, getting humble that I had lost control of my habit and now was an addict
Simply confronting that act takes resolve, then the hard part of going to meetings and working the 10 steps is another thing to admire

Frankly I find your attitude flippant and not based in the reality that fighting off a personal demon
is an admirable trait. It takes resolve and committment= admirable traits

If you want to say others that never used are 'more admirable' -OK fine -but that shows the fact you dont understand even those with strong willpower can succumb
~~

Im not going to get into the more sophisticated ideas of harm reduction. it's beyond your experience.
But it's a mitigation strategies because not everyone can get clean.
Rehab is a joke. You have to stay clean in the real world not some private residence/facility removed from the real world
It allows addict to function in society, but not harm society. it's a very workable strategy but our society would rather lay blame and demand 100% compliance instead of mainstreaming the addicted
