I've been to both.
I dislike Disney, never liked it ever. Theme parks are not ideal. My kids wanted to go about 10 years ago, I took them, it was my second time ever, and I hope my last. It’s hot, there are huge lines, the rides are boring, The shows are campy. The whole place sucks.
Florida is not punishing any business. Disney is now simply a business like any other. It no longer has any special immunities or treatment.
