I'm sorry but the Wokerati are truly humourless and offended by every damn thing that's ever existed. I don't even think that's arguable any more. Trans activists are just about the worst, fuck their pronouns and constant attacks on others who don't subscribe to the view that any man can become a woman.

The "Wokerati" are your own silly invention. Otherwise, you are picking on a tiny minority but as for them it's probably not easy to feel at ease around people you repel.

I would love to lay claim to inventing the word, but alas no, somebody got there before me. I think it's a great word though, obviously derived from glitterati. Your objection is noted though but forgive me if carry on using it.

By "you" I meant your think group. "Woke" and its cousins is crutch term for those who think in crutch language, and no political group is more "correct" than devotees of Donald Trump and his political offspring, a la, DeSantis who just showed us the price one can pay for saying the wrong thing.

The answer to the puzzlement about “cultural Marxism” is that Marxism has a vision of society quite different from the classical liberal vision. In the liberal vision, society comprises many individuals voluntarily associating with others to form families, friendship groups, businesses, organizations, political parties, and the like. Society is about association, collaboration, and competition. In the Marxist vision, society is divided into classes ranked hierarchically, with the upper classes oppressing and exploiting the lower classes. Kay is correct to say that in orthodox Marxism, the classes are defined in economic terms. In contrast, the cultural Marxism advocated by the wokerati adopts the class conflict model of society and applies it using non-economic, identity criteria: sex, sexuality, and race.

Feminists see society as divided between the ruling “patriarchy” class and the class of helpless female victims, oppressed and exploited by the patriarchy. Men who struggle to make a living by working poorly paid and often dangerous jobs are in the ruling patriarchy, while ultra-rich and professional women are in the subordinate, oppressed class. Feminists believe that all men have power and all women are powerless, suffering at the hands of men.
