But beyond the attempted whataboutism, if and when Biden lies, the left doesn't overlook it in fear of how it is going to play with some other person or leader inside the party, which is the common occurrence on the right these days

Perhaps, but is it not the truth that no matter what Trump says or does well over forty percent of the GOP will believe and support him? Do not the vast majority of GOP politicians live in fear that they might offend Trump? Aren't all the major right leaning media and social network entities totally committed to Trump and will defend him regardless?

Trump set a record for lying in office that will never be beaten. The papers kept track of them because they were so blatant and he did not care. However, Mccarthy is lying about Trump's insurrection. That is not normal political slant. It is huge. He lied about it until the audio came out. This is not a little pecadillo. This is huge.
