Legend has it that the butterflies carry the souls of the dead relatives as they make their way to the warmer climes of Mexico.

In the past few years, that legend has been competing with disturbing and unfounded far-right conspiracy theories that the National Butterfly Center, a 100-acre sanctuary for the Monarchs and other species on the banks of the Rio Grande, is the site of child sexual abuse trafficking and illegal immigration. As the misinformation crescendo grew, driven by the hot-button issue of immigration, the center closed its doors in February. Far-right conspiracists and QAnon followers targeted the center and threatened violence because it opposed the construction of Trump’s border wall based on its impact on the surrounding habitat.

Today, the center will reopen to the public in honor of Earth Day, which was celebrated on Friday.

The militias haven't gone away. I don't know where and I don't know when but there are nutjobs who will strike.

On JPP, most "militia" turned out to be big-talking braggarts and chickenshits. The problem is that, in any population, there will be a small percentage of angry, violent wackos who seek to "send a message", "make a statement" or whatever wacko belief they have.

The fact all the militias have gone underground indicates they are distancing themselves from the wackos in their midst. Many of them will know who are the threats and that's why they are hiding instead of supporting local government by alerting local law enforcement. They are terrorists, not "freedom fighters" as their ideology tells them.

As the 1/6 Commission is likely to prove, I suspect they'll draw a firm and direct connection to a plot to overthrow the government of the United States by the militias. The Oath Keepers are the current focus, but all were involved*. All the militias will be tainted by this because they all have, and as evidence proves, have the same ideology to make America euros again. Back in the day, they were called "Torries". Conservatives who wanted to have the elite rule over the masses.

*why were the militias NEVER mentioned at the Rittenhouse trial? Federal investigation in progress? The Boogaloo Bois were heavily involved both in Kenosha and DC....but no one talks about them.

According to the wackadoodles, most of the militia are FBI agents setting up the dumbass hillbillies. :rofl2:

Even so, hate begets hate. Hate has been ramped up in our nation to a level of violence due to lies supported by national leaders. In a population of 330 Million Americans it is a certainly that some will become violent. Deadly violent.

Because letting illegals wander freely through a butterfly habitat is such a great idea....

Dumbass, if you want to worry about true terrorists, ask your wife about the white supremacists. Why have they gone underground? Why weren't they even mentioned at the Rittenhouse trial?

Aside from one statement shortly after 1/6, why have the militias "disappeared"? Why aren't you curious about that fact, #10? What does your Army Intelligence wife have to say about it?

Butterflies can't fly over a border wall?

Because letting illegals wander freely through a butterfly habitat is such a great idea....

So illegal aliens get into the USA. They then go to the border, and pay money to go to a butterfly sanctuary on the border. It even has a fence to keep them from getting to the actual border, so why do you think they would do that?

Your arguments have no reasoning behind them.
