The banned math books are leaking out

It is not that hard to get these math books, they are freely sold. Millions of students are using them. So no one can find the secret messages DeSantis claims are there. And DeSantis cannot point to them.

There is no mention of race in any way in the elementary school books. One of the middle school books had a tiny biography section on the side of some of the pages, with little blurb biographies, and one or two were about Black mathematicians... THE HORROR!!! And one of the high school book had a word problem about calculating different rates of sickle cell anemia, which is not caused by racism.

If DeSantis has any evidence that there are secret messages, this is the time to release it. If he cannot, people will start thinking he is just a slimy politician caught in a sex scandal trying to divert attention.

 
I don't think it hurts Desantis with the MAGA base. MAGA loves lying so much, they rewarded the pathological liar Donald Trump with their utmost devotion and loyalty.

It will definitely help DeSantis with his MAGA base. I doubt it will help him in the long term with anyone else.

They also adore sex scandals, the juicier and more lurid the better! In fact, they would no doubt consider it an honor if one of their corrupt panderers grabbed their wife by the hoohaw.

From here it's hard to tell if this focus on DeSatan and his evil works is the LW media pointing them out, or if he is *deliberately* going out of his way to offend decent and moderate folks in order to appeal to his base. (Base... what a perfect word to describe them.) Probably it is some of both.

The Republican base has consistently proved since 2016 they admire, adore, and worship sleazebags, tax cheats, philanderers, pathological liars.

Gee, all this time I thought I just wanted secure borders, lower taxes, sensible regulation of business, energy independence, and I wanted our enemies to at least fear us if they couldn't respect us. (although I do loves me some tax cheats, unless they're lefties. That just makes them hypocrites).

I saw this peice. The guy they bring on says he's examined eight (8) of the books. I've gotten a look at six (6). He, and MSNBC, say essentially 'Nothing to see here...'

Well, in perusing the ones I did, at least one did contain CRT materials--pictures posted of that earlier. All contained material that was Common Core and or SEL (Social Emotional Learning) that were also banned. So, I don't know what MSNBC's so-called "expert" was looking at that was radically different from what I saw for sure, but my guess is his definition of the material was so loose that much of what I found he found acceptable, most likely because it wasn't in-your-face obvious that it was one of the three banned areas.
