Back during the 2020 campaign, I knew a number of not-so-bright lefties who fell for Gabbard’s schtick. I tried to tell them at the time that she was just a fake liberal who was being bankrolled by the right in order to try to undermine the actual Democrats in the campaign. At the time, they didn’t believe me. Now, though, Gabard has dropped the act. She goes to CPAC and spouts all the usual right wing lines verbatim. She’s just another Fox News shill, these days. And over on Twitter, it’s hilarious to see how, whenever Putin restricts his country’s Twitter access, suddenly her tweets go from a hallelujah chorus of random numbered accounts, to just being actual people dunking on her. The same happens with other fake liberals like Glenn Greenwald and Matt Taibbi.
