This should be thrown in the face of every Republican who tries to play the free-speech advocate, based on opposition to Twitter of Facebook fighting misinformation on their sites. Unlike those things, which involve private companies making business decisions about what content they want to host, this is an actual example of attempted government censorship. DeSantis and his goon pack are trying to inflict economic harm on Disney to punish their leaders for having expressed negative opinions about some Republican legislation. The clear goal is to intimidate others into silence: to send the message that if you exercise your first amendment rights to express a political opinion that the political leadership of the state opposes, you will suffer grave consequences from the government. If those newly hatched free-speech advocates of the right were at all in good faith, they'd be savaging DeSantis for this abuse of power.

Desantis is a simple fuck who is bulldozing his way to national prominence. He has hurt the people of Florida. He and Scott were leading medical companies that cheated Medicare and health services out of mega- millions. It appears that if you want political success in Florida, cheating your constituency is the key. They seem to like that.
How many businesses in Florida rely on Disney visitors? Restaurants, hotels, bars, and other parks, will all feel the pinch their stupid governor caused.
