It is time just to admit DeSantis does not have the evidence

DeSantis is scoring personal political points with it, you could also say. The blame is attached by those he doesn't care about. In fact, their animosity only enhances his standing with his clueless admirers.
bunch of crap. DeSantis didnt politicize this. "Dont say gay" ( another lie) became the poster child of the woke left which for some perverted reason wants kids below 3rd grade to question their "gender identity".

There's the damage. taking an undeveloped mind with really no sexual identity at that age
(kids that young cant know their sexual identity and getting them bombarded with stuff designed to cause confusion just messes with their emotional development)

Unless you want to sit there with a straight face and tell me a 2nd grader has any "questions" about their gender.

HEY! TEACHER!! LEAVE THEM KIDS ALONE!!

You know, that song was about the indoctrination in UK classrooms in 1979. They were doing it that long ago, with the US it's much more recent, it only started around the 2000s.

When the Federal Block Grants to states for education started, that was the foot in the door for the indoctrination.

First they got 'um hooked on Uncle Sam's sugar tit, then came the whammies.

You claim that DeSantis has evidence that American children are being brainwashed for evil, and is withholding it... I would think you would be outraged.

I still believe this in particular will blow over. DeSantis will fight for as long as he can, with taxpayer dollars, to keep the specifics secret. When he fails, he will give in and unban all the books.

But in the long term, it will have dire consequences. DeSantis will continue to fight to bring down American freedom.

And even in the short term there are issues. The northeast is stuck paying a lot in federal taxes to prop up Florida.

You believe that in 1 hand and poo in the other and see which one fills up first.

The books will not be accepted if they don't meet the state's criteria, this has been going on for centuries.

States are in charge of the education within them.

Hello Walt,

DeSantis' spokesmodel has stated that he will not release any evidence, so it is time for everyone to admit that DeSantis will not release the evidence of his claims about math.

Some will say that DeSantis is so holy that he does not need evidence, his word is just to be trusted. The fact is that DeSantis is one of the slimiest politicians around, and in my book needs more evidence...

This is something that should be easily proven, but slimy DeSantis refuses to prove his bizarre claims.

Americans hold our teachers in high regard. 75% consider teachers very high, or high honesty or ethical standards. DeSantis' claim they are systemically grooming children for sex, without any evidence is backed up by his reputation as a smily lawyer who was nearly disbarred for committing a fraud upon the court, and a slimy politician who "interviewed" young women for his transition team.

Nothing to see here. Just DeSantis pulling a Trump, saying/doing provocative things to get in the news, throwing red meat to his hateful base.

He doesn't really care about this stuff. It's totally a non-issue.

Oh gee some math books didn't make the mark to be considered to be purchased by the state of Florida. Big deal.

According to DeSantis, it is a huge deal. He claimed there were all sorts of horrible things in the math books. Are you saying he was lying?

What math books would you like to see reinstated...and why? Did he personally reject the texts...or was there a committee who evaluated them and then made the decision?

The Florida Department of Education, acting as DeShameless's appointed lap dogs, who sit, roll over and play dead on his command, are the Nazi collaborators who carried out his scheme, the purpose of which was exactly the same as the purpose of everything else he does including getting revenge against Disney.... scoring political points with his drooling right-wing redneck Trumptard voting base.

Republicans used to have some interest in leadership, and real issues. They were not perfect, but they had some good points. These days many Republicans are just interested in getting press attention.

This kind of thing really doesn't matter to our nation.

Culture war distraction.

DeSantis has a penchant for taking something that nobody is talking about and turning it into an issue to fire up his hateful base.

Nobody cared what was in math books. It wasn't even in the news. And now all of a sudden, according to DeSantis, it's a big issue.

I should think he could find better things to do as governor of a state. Certainly there must be more pressing needs. Such as dealing with climate change in a state that is barely above sea level in many places, a state where city roads now flood with sea water on sunny days, a state built on and dependent on ugly urban sprawl and constant growth, which has no idea where it will get enough water for the constant influx of new arrivals.

I dont know where this sewer bubbled up from. CRT (by whatever name) started in the universities back in the 1970s
It's complete worthless academic study designed for LW fascist to brainwash students with their
"systemic racist" junk
That was bad enough. But using kids for whatever strange goals they have is unconscionable-
and the Republicans are finally pushing back. Parents are finding out how loathsome this all is and joining them

Oh sure dude! A governor should ignore the schools (the state's responsibility) and focus on changing the weather like Don quixote jousting windmills! Brilliant!

And as for "city roads", they are exactly that: Built and maintained by the cities, guy.

FL State roads are fantastic. The FL State road dept. is A-1, they make counties and cities look like the grifting, kickback-getting, no-good do-nothings that they are.

As for water supply, that's again due to cities and counties allowing construction permits to subdivision developers for kickbacks without any thought given to infrastructure or the water supply.

So which books that were rejected are you concerned about...and why? (Is he getting political points for a potential run against Joe in 2024?;)) There's nothing wrong with the Parental Rights Eduation Bill...or do you have issues with that as well? Let us know how you really feel... Are you a Floridian? Seminole or Gator?

https://www.tampabay.com/news/educa...s-in-florida-chosen-florida-wonders-explores/ A book committee is "systemic grooming of children"? What research have you done when it comes to the selection process? Do you believe the Governor hand picked or rejected the books?

Again with the idiocy. The committee was instructed to look for evidence of the teaching of CRT in the math textbooks. (The "grooming" thing is a different RW Poutrage du Jour.) They rejected 41% of the proffered textbooks, at least some for allegedly violating FL's ban on teaching "CRT." But which ones? And which ones specifically supposedly had CRT in them? Why the secrecy?

We get that you are and always have been racist, referring to urban students as "thugs," for instance. It's not surprising that you're fine with the secrecy going on here.

Thankfully the publishers have the right to appeal the rejections. With any luck we will then find out what kind of nonsense FL thinks constitutes CRT in grade school.

FL State roads are fantastic. The FL State road dept. is A-1

I have been to Florida, and no sane person would make those claims. Florida is not bad by American standards, but claiming that it is A-1 or fantastic is just insane.

The best roads in Florida are paid for by the federal government, and were built decades ago.

Not at all. I'm saying rewrite the objectional parts and resubmit next year. What about that do you not understand?

And it would be blue if it were not for mountains of republicans cheating in elections

The whole reason for transparency is so we can all know there are no bribes being paid. DeSantis' complete lack of transparency makes us wonder. What is he hiding?
