There was a more sane time when Adults used to think that the ONLY people who should be talking to small children about their sexuality would be their parents.

How is this a school's domain? How is this not viewed as perversion thinking that anyone between the ages of 5 to 8 years old should be taught about sexuality by their teachers? That's insanity in my books.

I don't see a part where it says that individual children are not allowed to be talked to about sex and orientation... Isn't this your concern that if they need help that school personnel would be able to step in and assist them? #3 refers to classroom instruction...some possible examples of plans that might not be appropriate...but very possibly in place...

Untrue. Many, if not most, gay ppl realized at a very young age (often before school age) that they felt different. In grade school often little kids hold hands with each other, but boys who do so with other boys are often mocked. Teaching kids that it's cruel to make fun of others is a necessary part of learning, no matter what reason they are choosing to mock. Should teachers just ignore that? What should a teacher do if a kid talks about "my two dads" or "my aunts just got married"?

I think it is largely irrelevant. Homosexuality represents less than 2% of the population. Transsexuals are far less than 1%. Other than not treating homosexuality as some sort of disease and shunning those who are, I don't see where we need to be having lengthy discussions of any of this with students in public schools.

You're missing the point; the law prevents discussing any sex ed questions in schools, not just the few percent that are gay. Sex ed, at age appropriate levels, to encourage teaching kids tolerance of lawful differences, something DeSantis and Christina are obviously against.

Only a fucking moron believes ignoring something will make it go away. Growing up is tough enough on kids without making them feel like freaks or an abomination.
