Telling kids it’s ok if they are gay….

While I would agree that complete abstinence on this subject is likely bad, the way it's going many places in the US today is grossly wrong. We don't need sex ed in grade schools and certainly don't need teachers and school officials trying to pigeonhole kids into believing they are one way or another sexually. For thousands of years of human history kids figured that out for themselves. They don't need help from overly 'generous' perverts and deviants wanting to push them into some particular fetish.

Do you have some evidence that was a problem? In fact I think the problem in our society and culture for many years has been that discussion of homosexuality has been taboo. Why do you think the suicide rate is so high for homosexual teens who come from parents that are against homosexuality?

I think it is largely irrelevant. Homosexuality represents less than 2% of the population. Transsexuals are far less than 1%. Other than not treating homosexuality as some sort of disease and shunning those who are, I don't see where we need to be having lengthy discussions of any of this with students in public schools.

I think your percentages are way off… but it’s not a problem, don’t need a law. It’s just culture war shit to get DeSantis elected. It hurts the gay kids.

Example of a straw man argument.

FWIW, I was in Fourth Grade when I started noticing girls. When I was in Third Grade a boy in my class said that sperm was white pee. I had no way of knowing different because there were no books on it in the library, it wasn't taught in school and I wasn't going to ask my parents about it. :rofl2:

So what? It isn't the school's job to decide or direct children's sexual orientation or proclivities. That is the parent's job.

I was pointing out that your statement was incorrect.

And I disagree that it's the parent's job. It's the parent's job w/ their own kid - but tolerance starts w/ knowledge. I think there is some massive misperception here that they're teaching about sexuality; this is just about gender.

In what world are parents qualified to handle that problem? They are more likely part of the problem, likely not the solution.
Non male and females are about 8 percent of the kids. It is a big problem.

In what world are a bunch of liberal arts majors who are idiots qualified to handle that problem? They are part of the problem, and not the solution.

It's always so interesting that most parents & voters don't care that kids see something like 200,000 violent deaths on TV & in video games by the time they're 18, but teaching about gender differences & sexual identity is the end of society.

Is that all schools have? They have counselors. They have medical help and experts. That was a dishonest post. Schools do have experts, something parents are not. They are the first line of help. Parents are a big problem. Schools can recommend professional help too. https://www.thetrevorproject.org/resources/article/creating-safer-spaces-in-schools-for-lgbtq-youth/ yeah, schools address the problem.

Now they call telling kids it’s okay to be gay “grooming”!

There you go lying again. What part of the Desantis bill says anything about being Gay? Please find it for me and let's have that debate. If you can't find it, admit you're nothing more than a lying talking head for MSNBC, CNN and the Democratic Party of Lying Jackasses.

I grow impatient with a party and an ideology that does nothing but LIE about EVERYTHING almost ALL THE TIME.
:palm:

Look harder. It’s simply sub text, everything you guys are doing is because you are so afraid of gayness and a culture that is moving away from feeling that it’s taboo. I have some guesses as to why you people are so afraid of it, but without knowing you personally it’s only a guess.

More lies and no links. You sad, pathetic caricature of ignorance and stupidity. Is lying all you idiots on the left have? :palm:

https://thehill.com/news/state-watc...accused-her-of-grooming-in-fundraising-email/

This story was on Foxnews earlier, but I guess they pulled it... here is another version.

Once more, where does the DeSantis bill say "don't say gay?" I know why. Because it doesn't exist and this narrative is a lie filled, absurd claim once again by the Democratic Party of Lying Jackasses and media flunkies.

It's very tiring to constantly point out the lies on the left. Democrats are an ideology built on lies.
:palm:

Not doing either, you are hiding behind Trump protection words. I am calling a spade a spade.

Wrong; you're making stupid shit up with strawmen and then demanding we tear them down. It doesn't work like that.

Again, what part of the bill has "don't say gay" in it?
:palm:

Agreed DeSantis is pushing it but it was Christian Pushaw who states it to give DeSantis cover.

Anyone who opposes Florida's 'Don't Say Gay' bill is 'probably a groomer,' DeSantis press secretary says
Christina Pushaw, the press secretary for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), has come under fire after tweeting that anyone who opposes a bill banning schools from concealing students' sexual orientations from their parents and from teaching young children about sexual orientation and gender identity is "probably a groomer," Political Wire reports.

The Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network defines "grooming" as "manipulative behaviors" that a sexual "abuser uses to gain access to a potential victim, coerce them to agree to the abuse, and reduce the risk of being caught."

"The bill that liberals inaccurately call 'Don't Say Gay' would be more accurately described as an Anti-Grooming Bill," Pushaw wrote on Twitter.

That's called an OPNION dimwitted wonder dunce. And based on what LGBT teachers are saying on Tic Tok, a lot of that opinion is fact based.

So tell me snowflake, where does the DeSantis bill say "don't say gay?"
:palm:
