Putin Backs Palestinians Over Al-Aqsa Escalation in Phone Call With President Abbas
The phone call comes on the same day that Moscow summons Israel's ambassador for reprimand over its vote to oust Russia from the UN Human Rights Council

Russian President Vladimir Putin condemned Israel's escalation at Al-Aqsa Mosque in a phone call with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Monday, after Israel's vote to suspend Russia from the UN Human Rights Council strained ties between the two countries.
The two leaders also discussed negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, the Kremlin said, as well as "the problems of the Middle East settlement in the context of escalating tensions in the West Bank and East Jerusalem."
In the call, President Putin assured his counterpart that Russia will back the Palestinians on the international stage and condemned Israeli forces' recent confrontation with Palestinian worshipers.
Sources in Ramallah told Haaretz that the Palestinian Authority is disappointed with the U.S. and European Union's response to clashes last Friday in which at least 152 Palestinians were injured by Israeli riot police inside the Al-Aqsa mosque compound.
During their call, Putin also promised Abbas a continued supply of wheat and other Russian products in the shadow of a looming shortage of basic goods in the West Bank.

What could well transpire now is that the proxy war between NATO and Russia - ongoing in Ukraine - could escalate into Syria.
The Russians are unlikely to continue to allow the Israeli fascists freedom to attack Syria and the Iranians that are in Syria legally. NATO, I feel sure, will abandon its agreement with the Russians in Syria not to cross swords. The Israeli fascists will see an opportunity to set the US on to a war course with Iran.
Again, Israel is the WW3 danger, not Ukraine.
