I am not the one claiming Twitter only has coders as employees. I said there would be a brain drain if employees left. I didn't say only people that write code would leave. In fact people that write code are pretty low on the list of people that are the brains of the company.

It's not simply 'I don't like your beliefs therefore I'm going to deplatform you'. It's not that black and white. There's a larger picture about controlling what is deemed to be acceptable speech and who controls who determines what is deemed as accurate or factual. Because something is deemed factual today doesn't necessarily it will be so in a year or two, yet should questioning what is deemed factual at the time be allowed? And I'm not talking about wild conspiracy theories but rather actual questioning. And this isn't simply a right or left wing thing.

you may have read that I thought he would take it down but that was going to be if his hostile takeover did not work. It seems that is has been killed by Twitter management.

I think Musk is probably generally above board but he was clear from the start that if buy did not happen, kill would.

whose business is it to censor in the first place ?
is twitter getting sued because someone read something there and went out and killing squirrels because the tweet said they are evil space aliens ?

Musk will not be allowed to buy Twitter, no way no how, but he will accomplish two things I am fairly sure:

1: He will prove that the Revolution will go to the mat to preserve the speech controls which they use to control the society and

2: He will make money.

I don't know his motives so I have no idea on his Plan B...or Plan C.
 
I suspect this will end badly for Twitter no matter what they do. If they go the poison pill route, they risk putting themselves out of business. If they continue to work from a Leftist mindset that control of the speech on their site is more important than staying in business, they are going to go out of business. Musk could still buy them out and if he does, the Progressives that work at Twitter are doomed, doomed I tell you!

Twitter fucked themselves by positioning themselves on the Progressive Left. That always ends up screwing everything up for whoever does it. It happened here and now they have Musk positioning himself to give them a total smackdown pretty much regardless of what they do. Maybe they shouldn't have inserted overt political bias into their business model...
