Amazing how inflation in the US was 1.4% at the end of the Trump administration and has risen to 8.5%. You are aware the US is the was the World's largest energy producer under Trump and the World's largest economy. Also oil is traded for in Dollars and oil prices are determined by the FUTURES market. So the perception of the FUTURE value of oil and gas influences the price of oil and gas. Biden canceling the XL pipeline and halting fracking and stopping future leasing on Federal lands halting new drill in ANWR and new federal regulation relating to new pipelines and pressures on Banks who finace oil exploration have all helped raise the global price of oil and that has cause inflation in the World's largest economy and in the rest of the World also.
