The women I've talked to who have had an abortion tend to feel more sorrow at the necessity, than they feel guilt. In fact, in the five decades since Roe v Wade became the law of the land, I've only known one woman who felt nothing and used the procedure as a means of birth control. One in almost 50 years. So much for the over-used "they use it for birth control" meme of the forced-birthers.

Self inflicted ones included? This was my first question...as this is what occurred in the OP...
As far as "polls" go... You are, of course, entitled to your opinion, as am I...and to our personal beliefs...
I don't know anyone who believes someone does it "whimsically....except perhaps for those who chose to use it as a form of birth control...and have multiples, so
I don't doubt that some believe and proclaim they have no guilt... When you mention doing a lot of thinking and evaluation prior to the procedure and then bring up "reasons" and "guilt"...what is the difference?
