You say that as if it was a great secret or something! Many will vote for him to stop the loony tunes on the Left like the Squad, Stacey Abrams et al. The Dems have swung heavily to the Left in recent years, I think you know that well enough but vote for them out of some misplaced loyalty. This scholarly article sums up the situation perfectly.

Obvious point, a real honest person would say, "I try my best to be honest, and succeed much of the time." An extremely dishonest person says, "I am perfectly honest all the time. I am the GOD of honesty."
