First NATO country sends Ukraine powerful surface-to-air missiles to shoot down Russian aircraft and cruise missiles

Hell it's about time! The UK is sending Harpoon anti-ship missiles, this is a US made anti-ship missile to Ukraine too!


  • Slovakia said it sent Ukraine an S-300 air defense system to defend against Russian attacks.
  • The Soviet-era S-300 is a long-range surface-to-air missile system that can shoot down cruise missiles and aircraft.
  • The small Eastern European country is the first NATO member to send Ukraine such advanced weaponry.

Slovakia Prime Minister Eduard Heger has confirmed that it had sent its S-300 air defense system to Ukraine, becoming the first NATO country to answer the calls by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to supply powerful missile weaponry.

The S-300 is a Soviet-era long-range surface-to-air missile system that can shoot down cruise missiles and aircraft and has a range of up to 90 miles.

It is considered one of the most potent anti-aircraft missile systems and is in the arsenal of three NATO countries: Slovakia, Bulgaria, and Greece.

If Russia is pushed into using its tactical nuclear missiles there won't be anywhere left for Ukraine to launch anything from.

If Russia uses nukes on Ukraine, then you are probably talking about World War 3?!!

Nukes on Ukraine would be a redline! Remember Russia attacked Ukraine, not vice versa?!!

depends on the type of nukes. I dont know if tactical nukes are a "redline" - i seriously doubt we would go to war with Russia, but this whole pretext is insanity

That's how you see it- but Russians see it as a pre-emptive self-defense operation.

NATO had better start seeing things as Russia sees them .

I'm inclined to believe that Russia would use tactical nukes within Ukraine. NATO- and the armchair warriors sending lethal weapons- have already seen what has happened when they've ignored Russia's warnings. Are they all totally stupid - or just cavalier with the planet.
 
It's depressing how some people here are only too willing to swallow Putin's lying propaganda.

The facts of the matter are that Russia invaded a sovereign country which was not attacking or planning to attack them.

Now Putin may be 'pushed' into using nukes. Oh,it's only tactical nukes, they say - perfectly understandable. Jesus wept!

moon, what Putin did is called waging aggressive war. It is, in itself, a major war crime, and it's been recognized as such for three-quarters of a century.

If you want to make excuses, that's your business. But a word of advice - don't try pushing the line that Ukraine is run by neo-Nazis. That's not only false, it's ridiculous. The only people who will believe it (or pretend to) are what used to be called 'useful idiots'.

If you want to claim that Putin thought Ukraine might attack Russia at some time in the future, you and he need evidence. Where is it?
