If we hadn't treated Uk as a proxy war with NATO expansion promised...
maybe they wouldn't be fighting at all

I hope the war stops, but it had nothing to do with NATO until we treated it as such

What Putin's doing is just like Hitler's Blitzkrieg, except Ukrainians have modern anti-tank weapons.

There is no reason to think Putin will stop at just one more. Putin is an aggressor who just takes over countries because he wants to. If Ukrine did not fight, does anyone think Putin would have been satisfied? He is a fascist grabbing all he can get away with.

and no it wont effect the US - the war won't even spread to NATO - despite the hysteria

Ukraine is fighting - it has NATO weapons and it's beating back Russia.. Thats a real reason that Putin won't expand -he can't
I wont even address the fact Ukraine is not POland etc.

Russia invaded the fledgling democracy of Ukraine and is in the process of reducing some of it's cities to smouldering piles of ash.

It's fortunate we now have a president committed to defending democracy and upholding the principles of intentional law.
