The day the dinosaurs died

Boiled leg o' dinosaur then.

Nope

Transport of the impact would have out traveled the heating

This position on earth was too far from the impact to get boiled

In fact it would have cooled due to the blockout of the sun with debris

Fox and Russian disinformation can’t convince enough people to believe enough lies to shut down the progress of science

Science will win the day

Lies can’t win

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tanis_(fossil_site)

Tanis is the name given to a site of paleontological interest in southwestern North Dakota, United States,[1]: p.8190  and the ancient river it formed part of.[1]: p.8192  Tanis is part of the heavily studied Hell Creek Formation, a group of rocks spanning four states in North America renowned for many significant fossil discoveries from the Upper Cretaceous and lower Paleocene. Tanis is an extraordinary and unique site because it appears to record the events from the first minutes until a few hours after the impact of the giant Chicxulub asteroid in extreme detail. This impact, which struck the Gulf of Mexico 66.043 million years ago, wiped out all non-avian dinosaurs and many other species (the so-called "K-Pg" or "K-T" extinction). The extinction event caused by this impact paved the way for the domination of the Earth by mammals, including human beings.

Global warming warming has been proven and linked to mankind’s activities

Now the theory of kill off event is now being proven without doubt

Let’s remember through history what happens to cultures that refuse reality exists

They make very bad choices that destroy them

Science marches on

Giving us the FACTS that propel mankind forward

So the Dinosaurs made choices that caused a giant meteor to strike the Earth? Wow,....now THATS incredible.

If only the Dinosaurs would have driven tesla's and Volt's they would still be alive today. Dumb bastards.

Tanis: Fossil of dinosaur killed in asteroid strike found, scientists claim
Jonathan Amos - BBC Science Correspondent

Scientists have presented a stunningly preserved leg of a dinosaur.

The limb, complete with skin, is just one of a series of remarkable finds emerging from the Tanis fossil site in the US State of North Dakota.

This is what this thread is about

Even here there are rules about spamming threads

Evidence of the big event is being found in the form of individuals who died from the impact directly

This is big folks

The theory and confirmation of the K-T impact event was one of the top five Scientific discoveries of the 20th century, imo. But, I tend to be biased towards the Earth sciences.

I always wanted a definitive and confirmed answer as to what happened at the Permo-Triassic mass extinction event (I know there are hypotheses).

Cool article. Weird that the righties on the thread decided to act like cartoon characters.

They are allowed to spam anything like buzzing flies here

Stupid runs around the block three times before facts wake up here

Facts will still win

It makes me wonder why so many here want to be on team stupid

Suit yourself- raw leg o' dinosaur.

Scientists have uncovered what they believe is the first fossil linked to the catastrophic asteroid event that wiped out the dinosaurs.

They have described the dinosaur leg as "stunningly preserved" and it even has skin still attached to it.

The leg is among a group of remains that were found at the Tanis fossil site in North Dakota, in the US, and offers more insight into what happened when the dinosaur's reign ended 66 million years ago.

Awesome story
