Al Jazeera TV reports that examination of the missile remains suggest that it may have been brought down by ground-to-air defenses.

Since about the 1990's US military policy has been one of restraint on targets that might create collateral damage and civilian casualties. An example of this might be blowing up a mosque that is being used by enemy combatants. Russia is showing no such restraint. If their troops suspect a building could be used by the enemy, they whack it. Their attacks with artillery and unguided rockets are indiscriminate. They're happy if it hits something.

US never put that in practice -in fact it expanded it with "Signature strikes" that by it's very nature increase collateral damage since the target is "iffy"

He was not impeached for weapon sales. Part of his scheme to solicit foreign interference was to hold up aid to Ukraine. It seems you think if I give you something then you actually paid for it. So when are you going to pay up for my giving you evidence of your stupidity?
