I would like Ukraine to investigate allged abuse & shootings of Russian POWs

Atrocities happen when you start a war. The shooting of captured prisoners in a common ocurance. It is hard to not want to extract revenge from soldiers who are destroying your home and killing your people, including your family. Justice and war do not go together.

Injustice and retribution happen in war.

But accountability should too, otherwise we should just throw out the canon of international law on acceptable treatment of prisoners and injunctions against war crimes.

how do we know the photos were not staged? It's easy enough to take dead bodies and pose them
This is a brutal war.. Ukraine can say anything and the media sop it up as 100% gospel

Beware being sensationalized is what Im saying - there has to be an international investigation at the very least

If you are talking about Bucha, satellite photos prove those dead bodies have been lying in the streets for weeks. So the Kremlin talking point you are using, doesn't cut the mustard. It's not true the bodies showed up there only after the Russian retreat.

This thread was about treatment of Russian POWs, a separate issue

Im not too familiar with it
all Im saying is there are brutalities by both sides, and if you want an investigation is has to be from not teh parties involved.
are you sure about "weeks" -they would be distended and boated and in advanced decomposition

Still trying to trot out the ol' "there are no good guys here" line of thought?
