Fl voter laws tossed by judge

so the judge has ordered that all drop boxes shall be in staffed locations and only available when they are being monitored?.....good, that's all the 21 law provides....

The judge has ordered that all drop boxes must be secure and that the locations not at a main or branch office must be staffed which is all the law requires. The old law says nothing about constant monitoring by an actual person in attendance with the drop box. Based on the law in place in 2020, a drop box could be placed in the lobby of a library and a police officer could staff the location by being in a completely different room since the law only requires the "site" to be staffed.

101.657 lists as sites -

any city
hall, permanent public library facility, fairground, civic
center, courthouse, county commission building, sta-
dium, convention center, government-owned senior
center, or government-owned community center as
early voting sites;

If you were a textualist you would not be adding words to the law that don't actually exist in the law.

gotta love that demmycunt security........meanwhile, in 2020 drop boxes were on the street and unwatched all night long......was that "staffed" by someone in the same city?......

then he was stupid to declare the new law to be unconstitutional since that's all the new law required........just so they aren't outside, without a guard all night long like they were in 2020......

It seems you still didn't read the law and want to claim there are things in the law that are not written in the law.
Where does the law require that the box be watched all night? It only requires that it be secure. Do you have evidence that any of them were not secure in 2020? Speculation on your part is not evidence.

is there anyone out there who thinks a box sitting on sidewalk, 24/7 with no one around it is "secure".......

Where does the previous law require a guard all night? It only requires they be secure.

does this look secure to you?.......

in my home town to drop off an absentee ballot I have to go inside city hall......in the middle of the lobby is a box.......on all four corners there are glass windowed offices for the various city officials with a receptionist who can see who comes in and what they do.........that is security......

in Miami-Dade they had boxes on the street corner that people could go up to at 3:00 am and no one would see them.........what's to keep one person from putting in hundreds of ballots?.....

Nothing, but so what? Each ballot has to be accounted for per voter before it could be tabulated.

Additionally, as in the past, absentee ballots aren't even counted unless the total number could turn the election.

Example: an election has 1 million votes - 900K in person votes and 100K absentee/mail-in ballots. If the tally is 600K votes for Candidate A and 300K for Candidate B, there's no need to count the absentee/mail-in ballots since they wouldn't make a difference. If the vote was split 450K votes each, then the absentee ballots would need to be counted.

the Arizona audit showed us how badly that works........as for absentee ballots turning the election, do you think they had more than 44,000 absentee ballots in PA, WI, and GA?......

The fact that ballots are put in an envelope that is signed by the voter and then the envelope is checked to confirm it is from a valid voter before the envelope is opened and the ballot counted would prevent any of the fake ballots from being counted if one person from put hundreds of fake ballots in the drop box. That is the same reason someone can't mail hundreds of fake ballots in.

Are you sure you are a lawyer in the US? You seem to be ignorant of how voting works here.

Hmm......

hmmmm....
IN THE DECADE since the hacker Barnaby Jack famously made an ATM spit out cash onstage during the 2010 Black Hat security conference in Las Vegas, so-called jackpotting has become a popular criminal pastime, with heists netting tens of millions of dollars around the world. And over time, attackers have become increasingly sophisticated in their methods.

as I said previously, the Arizona audit showed us the system doesn't work.....and we all know Miami Dade didn't even bother to look......and other voting precincts.....which one had their signature verification system set to accept everything?.......

ROFLMAO. Your claim and $50 will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks.

Care to provide evidence from this audit that you think shows the system doesn't work? Oh.. wait.. you can't because it doesn't actually exist.

And the dead people in Ukraine are crisis actors just like those dead baby corpses at sandyhook

Isn’t it interesting how Putin used the crisis actor term?
