He pressured Banks to make financing on fossil fuels more difficult . People All of those things helped reduce oil production and that helped drive oil price futures up. That drove the price of oil up BEFORE Putin invaded Ukraine. And increased oil prices increase the price of everything that that is grown or shipped .
