It looks like a serious loss for the Russian military and the Russian government, they made a full force effort at taking over Ukraine and lost. They have reevaluated and are backing out of Kyiv, i’m not sure they will come out of this with anything except sanctions.

Not such a brilliant move.

The thing that blew my mind, as far as Russian genius, is Russian troops being made to dig ditches in Chernobyl. Who in the hell is that stupid?

I do not think Putin has lost. If he negotiates peace, he will walk off with some of Ukraine's land. War and war propaganda has made the Russian people more behind him. He has amassed even more power and uprooted those who are not 100 percent Putinites.

How? He has destroyed cities and killed thousands of people. He is still in Ukraine attacking more cities. In the end, it would be a hollow victory because the people there hate him for what he did and the next few generations will dream of ways to get even. But he is destroying Ukraine. If that was his intent, he is getting it.
 
It is far from clear how this will turn out. The one thing I think we do know that this operation has done is to fuse China and Russia together ever more strongly, which is bad for us.

His 'intent' was to be greeted with Flowers. Funny how when you bomb their Cities and kill them, just the opposite happens.
