Florida holds the 4th largest population of Gay people out of all 50 states- and it has 886,000 gay people admitting to being openly gay

The demographics of sexual orientation are very difficult to track because there are no official ways to obtain this information. The UCLA Williams Institute analyzed surveys conducted by Gallup Polling from 2012 to 2017 and CDC data from 2015 and 2017 to gather estimates of the LGBT population in each state.

For most heterosexuals- they are neutral on the subject of Gayness and LGBTQ issues, and many feel uncomfortable to even be asked about LGBTQ issues, because for the most part, it doesn't apply to them or their families. Most people agree that all people should be treated equal- LGBTQ or not!

But for the 886,000 Gay people that live in Florida, the new law will more-than-likely alienate those voters from voting Republican in the Mid-terms!

Recent polls in Florida indicate that 57% of Floridians support Gay Marriage- Just sayin'!

So, I'm not sure how the Banning of Gay Marriage or the Banning of Using the word Gay in Florida is going to help win the Republicans votes in future elections- BUT IN NO WAY IS IT GOING TO GAIN THEM VOTES WITH THE VOCAL AND VOTING MAJORITY OF FLORIDIANS- Gay or otherwise.

So, I think the new law will hurt the Republicans in the Mid-terms!

The new banning law was always a law looking for a cause or reason in many peoples minds!

You're talking about Christians here, right? Christians want to indoctrinate kids into thinking that it's inappropriate to talk about human sexuality.

They've already indoctrinated you, so kids are the next target because they managed to grift you into thinking it's inappropriate to talk about human sexuality with kids when they're surrounded by it 24/7 in society anyway.

You and the Conservatives are just robbing them of the opportunity to learn about it without having parents indoctrinate them with inherent biases and prejudices.

I'm talking about everyone. In the US folks get to believe stuff you don't like and you are not allowed to codify your beliefs as the standard beliefs in order to indoctrinate children how you want them to believe. Even if you really hate how others believe things. They get to teach their children that stuff without your intervention, and it works vice versa. If, like me, you don't want your children taught their values, you have to agree not to indoctrinate them into yours.

I get that you think that pesky freedom stuff is in the way of your ability to institutionalize all of your values over any other values. I just understand that in order to have the freedom to teach my kids what I believe I have to allow other folks to teach their children what they believe even if I don't like it.

I am not going to quote and answer all six of your nonsense stuff. I have a right to believe what I believe. They do too. They also are the folks that get to teach values to their children, and their rights way overshadow your instinct to codify your beliefs into law and force their children to learn what you want them to believe. I believe this even if I largely agree with you on the actual values you want to force onto folks.

But the law doesn't affect everyone equally, so you can't broadly generalize like that because this law has specific targets.

I don't understand why you think it's OK for parents to indoctrinate kids without any sort of teaching experience or qualifications, but it's not appropriate for a teacher to say that they're married to someone of the same sex?

You are not entitled to your beliefs or opinions.

Parents are not teachers.

Parents don't go to teaching school.

Parents don't get teaching degrees.

Parents don't teach in classrooms.
